träl, thralla meaning: slave (not after the Viking age) has nothing to do with lovers or marriages.

I believe some Danish kings had a frilla (mistress). But not among the other Countries Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Finland (perhaps also Estonia, Latvia)

In my country, 90%, knows how to speak English, it’s only children that haven’t learned it in school yet or immigrants from Africa and Asia who don’t speak it well. But we don’t start a conversation with someone on a train in English as the first choice.
