I don't think the eternals are that bad in this one yet, coz they didn't rush to point at Mu qingge as the the demon child until she said it herself, they only disliked her because she was playful but they never thought she would be evil. I think we are used to seeing them being hypocritical (and honestly I'm tired of that and sometimes it doesn't even make sense that they managed to cultivate to become an immortal with evil/hatred in their hearts, but that's another story for another day). In another drama they would have hunted her down and forced the confession out of her.
