Things that would’ve made better drama
1) Jinmu’s potential to do much more evil.
They could’ve easily made I-an mother’s death a murder and connected it to hwiju’s accident . Maybe she could’ve previously tried to abolish the monarchy.
2) they needed to establish pm’s calculating politician side much earlier, rather than trying to make him a sad 2ml. If he had something to lose if they abolished monarchy,( like re-election) then it would Make much more sense.
3) we needed I-an’s family relations explained. It could’ve easily been an emotional conversation with hwiju before the yacht kiss scene.
4) we needed hwiju’s dad showing more affection through action for his dramatic change
5) last of all, hwiju needed to admit that she is ready to stay by I-an’s side forever, even if it means giving up castle group. That would’ve been a better romantic gesture than her kneeling down for her father’s advice, which frankly she could’ve thought of herself.
6) what happened to the those cute and funny servants ???

This drama had every potential to be the next lovely runner or alchemy of souls, but corporate greed and thirst for clickbait ruined it. Knetizen’s should be protesting on that .

I just finished reading the prequel webnovel. From there you can see that pm never had any romantic or sexual feelings towards hwiju, it was an intense need to be hwiju’s no 1 emotional support. Being her fall guy. He also seems emotionally stunted , almost sociopathic . Anyway drama really could not bring it to screen. I think they nitpicked the actual script and only choose scenes that were sensational.

There was not a single comic moment in the ep. Everything is rushed too much. For a romantic series , the leads have very few scenes to develop their relationship. Hwiju and Ian did not have nice heartfelt conversations except politics in such a long time

Why are there so many yi- rang sympathisers ? Did everyone forget how she deliberately attacked I-an all while shamelessly steeling his throne ? Not to mention the classist and racist way she treated hwiju ? Her own son had to lock himself in to avoid her abuse. There is no question of I-an ever liking her . The ml here smiles at everyone like that… as it pains me to say, but a better actor would have shown the difference between his interactions with hwiju and yi rang

Normally in romcom, by ep 9 leads get together officially and we get kisses and dating era. Here we are getting forced divorce plot and murder mystery. This is no longer romantic comedy

This episode just didn’t click. Both I-an and huiju is not behaving according to character set up. What happened to all the open communication ? That was the most remarkable thing about their relationship.

I think if she takes the blame… they could say she forged the signature on the contract as she might have access to it.

The only way out of this scandal is if areum takes the blame for everything out of guilt

Its literally in the synopsis of the novel...i haven't read the novel myself but i found about it in few clicks

I hope they change the story from the novel.... heroine faking her kidnapping is to cliché and desperate

In the second part, they've made naksu 's role like a bystander. She almost has no purpose, no direction. The naksu in part would've handed uk a proper lesson for his behavior

I think ..in next ep bu yeon will go back to jinwoyon. Uk will realize she is mudeok after he sends her home. Cause when buyeon links her hand with jang uk ,she is wearing a blue hair tie but a different one when she meets seo yul
