Haters will always hate. Thank you for this. It has been through a lot since day from people claiming fake data to leaked episodes but it still stayed strong till the end. There’s just something about poj that’ll make it that drama for me. No drama will be 10/10 or tick every box. It can’t be perfect but the positive out way more than the negatives

I said I wanted a little slice of life drama and boy oh boy is it triggering. I’m half way through episode 2 and I feel like man handling the husband. I want to combust. He’s the king of gaslighting some people will never own up to their mistakes no matter how many time you catch them in the act. Like does he take Miyu to a fool just cos she scarified her career for him so she can’t tell right from wrong. To make things worse mistress is already pregnant while Miyu is infertile.
I hate mothers like Miyu’s cos how can you tell your daughter to stay just cos of material things not let any woman destroy her home when this man willingly destroyed his home. Somethings once broken can never be put back together again. Like have backbone support your daughter even if you’ve nothing.
I love how Jie Feng got served his karma all in the name of I want to secure a deal to be general manager you made a man get away with an affair. Yeah I understand it’s not in his job description to tell her but still… so far I like the drama, the directing could be better but will make do

Not them too what’s going with these productions and networks. I haven’t recovered from poj leak now this one. It was bound to happen as allegedly the script was leaked first.
Tbh I’m not suprised after everything this drama faced from the get go.

I haven’t watched the prequel nor read the novel so far after 5 episodes i feel like the story is missing something obviously it’s too soon there’s about 30 something more to go I’ll continue watching. The fighting scenes are good but other scenes especially emotional scenes feel very flat to me. The post production and directing doesn’t help either. I’ve seen the directors other works and he did well idk why this is so off the weird camera angles zooms and slow mo isn’t it. Maybe he wants to make it feel nostalgic as how 2017’s used to film but this isn’t it.
Also the editing just ain’t it especially the opening credits I’m sorry they didn’t try at all I can’t give them an e for effort.
The actors did their best but the other parties of the show didn’t really hold up

Youku is cutting down on the number of episodes a lot these days the most will be 24episodes with 60mins or 16 episodes

Oh yeah just ignore her you’ll find her in almost every comment section of dramas trying to course fan wars for no reason. It’s giving jobless behaviour if you’ve nothing doing jus save the environment by sleeping

leave it to your own people to bring you down. zhuyu has been through it all from the beginning to the end. coming from the people who put beauty on a high pedestal if man was ugg you all would come for him now that he's handsome you have a problem with it too, pick a side already. You cannot even compare 10 years ago to now the stories are idfferent this is an idol drama and if they read a just the first two pages of the novel you wouold relaise that they were really descibed how Xie Zheng looked like and ZLH made an effort to look that way. This is not a historic documentary nor is it based on real life.
Lets be honest if it wasnt for visuals and asthetics most people will not watch drams cos 80% of them have a very story line no head nor tail. Some writers cannot write and some directors cannot direct either but yeah lets put the blame on the actor who did his jobs cos he is too handsome and also the director who actually knows how to do his job.
Insead of doing them doing their job in the miltary they are here coming for an artist doing his job like nobody is forcing you to watch.

Does he have to fight over 5mins for it be a worthy scene of classed as a fighting scene. Yes his fight scenes were cut but in every scene where he fought he nailed every one of them. They were always intense take episode 7 as an example that was a good one there are a handful I can mention. “His strategy was let’s change course” bye this just shows you didn’t watch the show cos that’s not what he did. It’s not everytime you’ve to go to war.

It was a what if case. If the betrayal war and whatnots didn’t happen that’s how they might have lived

Did you watch another version of poj that we don’t know of. Some of you can over extract things. He did something and didn’t wait till the last 5 episodes. Man literally went to battle like 3/4 time and not even talk about him fighting his uncle. Even when he not at 100 he was still doing if not anything he would strategise war with gongsun.

This they had every intimate scene you could think of. Almost everytime I see them they’re doing something but the main cp had to had their cut short and for what.

I still can’t believe 40 episodes is just over in a blink. I see a lot of people complaining. As someone who has read and watched the drama I would say the writer did try. It’s not the worse and its not the best of the best either. But they did a good job not totally losing the core of the story. I’ve seen so many adaptions being butchered time and time again but I’ll always love poj. I think if they were given more episodes things would have been more better. Everyone pulled their A game and they received their rewards despite the leaks and whatnots that happened. The only thing that really ticked me off was the need to constantly show us the second 2nd cp. it was just too much skinship seeing what their so called relationship was based off nothing would make me like Qin min and Qianqian together.

Yes they’re going to separate for the third time and that because she has found out about her identity & the lie that her father was involved in what happened to Xie Zheng dad 17years ago

Yeah he was wrong wrong wrong & deserves whatever Changyu does but he can’t reveal himself as Marquis just when she’s has broken military rules. He should have told her after that whole skit but I guess he has he own insecurities. It’s hasn’t been a year give or take about 3-5months but yeah still

He’s still imprisoned by Xie Zheng but in the next episode Changyu will exchange him for food

Yes one episode till the end but on 21st and 22nd we’ll have 2 episodes per day
