I was worried I wouldn't like the second one because Hyunjun wasn't there, but this movie was amazing. I loved every minute of it! And the world is just so fascinating. I hope we see more movies/another series in the future.
I chose to watch this show for two reasons - it's comedy and the star is Lee Kwangsoo, my favorite Korean actor. Everything he's in is brilliant and this show just proves my point. As far as mystery goes, this show will really keep you guessing! There's so many misdirects and everyone is suspicious as hell. Everyone seems guilty. There was one person that I suspected from the very first time they appeared and I'm surprised that I was right! Not sure if I'm just getting better at this or if it was obvious.
I'm not a fan of romance and I'm not sure if this could technically be classified as romance, but I didn't mind the relationship between the main two characters. It wasn't cringy or annoying to me, surprisingly. And I usually hate female characters but the main females were all really cool and they didn't really work my nerves except for Gong San who I wanted to slap more than once. Daesung's momma is amazing, the kind of mom anyone would want to have. Ah-hee is determined and can really put on a show when she goes into protective cop mode. Part-timer was so cool, I wish I could be like her. She's super strong and, despite working part-time, she does more work than anyone.
This show is about murder, so it's bound to get dark at times, right? The thing is, this show knows how to perfectly balance the yin and the yang. As soon as it gets dark as hell, Daesung swoops in with a funny gag or comment that lights up the darkness. It's perfectly balanced between the two genres.
And the climax? Oh lord. I had to use the bathroom so bad but I refused because I was on the edge of my seat and had to know what was going to happen. This series is amazing and I only have 1 complaint about it which, for me, is impressive. Usually, there's a whole laundry list of things I don't like but for this show, there's only 1 - the blurred weapon.
Don't get me wrong, I understand things are different over there, but it just takes me out of the story when there's this serious, intense scene and then he lifts his hand and boom - a giant blur. Plus, it makes absolutely no sense to me why they would blue the tiny knife the killer was holding and not the giant butcher knife that the employees held. I mean, sure, one is used for murder and the other is used for food but they are both knives. Why is one blurred and the others aren't?? How the hell does that even work?
TL;DR - This series is AMAZING and everyone should watch it! :)
This movie is like any other generic zombie movie, though I did like the train aspect because trains are cool. I felt no attachment to any of the characters except for two - I won't say their names for spoiler reasons but one of them died. Also, I'd like to mention the stupidest decision in this movie - when you know a bite infects you, maybe not put your hand over their mouth. I know that's a shocking idea, who would have thought, aye? And another thing, why is always pregnant women in these zombie flicks? I was excited for this movie after hearing Dylan is in Trouble mention it but I was pretty let down.
It was beautiful, I loved this so much! There were a few times when they were frustratingly awkward, but if I picture myself in their shoes, I would probably be the same way. A beautiful story.
The last few Chinese movies I've watched have really let me down so I was worried about going into this one, but it did NOT let me down. This movie was amazing and I was hooked the whole time. I'm really interested in the lore of this world and their powers/abilities. I just realized there is a parent series and I'm excited to give it a watch!
I have many complaints about this movie, so much so that I had to open notepad and take notes while watching it! First off, I watched the trailer and thought this was going to be an amazing movie, like 10/10 amazing. I saw Lay plays a role in it and my expectations were even higher. Let's just say... I was let down by this movie. Here are my complaints:
- The green screen in some shots looks terrible. - Why give Lay a yellow car and then give half the cops a yellow car, as well? - Speaking of the car, that move he pulled is so unrealistic I just had to roll my eyes. - Why the lion? Is it supposed to be comedic? Because it's not. - This movie tries so hard to be funny, but 99% of the jokes fall so hard. I only laughed once and I can't even remember what scene made me laugh. - All three guys went stupid as soon as they saw the pretty girls. I hate this trope. - Chinese Markiplier. - Says it's important history/treasure and then proceeds to use it as a weapon/destroy it.
The only saving grace of this movie was Lay, honestly. Maybe if he had more screen time, this movie would have been better. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed because my expectations were so high or if this movie just really flopped. Either way, I'm quite sad at the result. It was very underwhelming.
I wasn't sure what to think going into this movie, but I was intrigued by the blonde so I gave it a shot. First off, whoever labeled this movie as "comedy" has a sick, twisted sense of humor because there's not a single thing funny about this movie. It's a dark, intense tale about poverty and sickness, and those trying to live through both. So, if you came to this movie looking for comedy, you better leave or grab some tissues because you're gonna need 'em.
This movie felt very lackluster to me. It couldn't hold my attention at all and the only reason I kept watching is because I liked Dan, the only character in the movie I actually liked. Plus the ending made absolutely zero sense to me. Can I have my 1 hour and 18 minutes back?
I won't lie, there are VERY FEW female characters that I can stand and even less that I actually like. I loved this manga when I read it and I loved the anime, too, but I was so worried to start the live action in case the actors couldn't properly act like the characters. I didn't want to hate some of the few female characters that I actually like, but they did such an amazing job. I love all of the main female characters and the actors portrayed them perfectly, in my opinion. It's rare for me to root for a female character, but I love these girls and want them to succeed. Plus, certain expressions that Tsukimi makes remind me so much of Yamada Yuki and it makes me smile every time. This is brilliant and I love it so much <3
This would have been the perfect movie, I loved it so much but then they threw that romance into it and it completely ruined the movie for me. I lost all interest after that and struggled to even finish it.
Does anyone know what song plays at 1:47:22? It's the second song that plays during the credits at the end and I really like it, but Shazam won't pick it up.
Does anyone know the intro song? I’ve been trying to find the song
Same here. I've been searching everywhere! I checked the YouTube link posted, but they sound like 2 completely different songs to me. The link is more hip hop and the intro I'm listening to on the show is more up beat and pop.
