I don't understand the low rating, but ofc everyone's taste is different. I really like this series tho. It's mystery combined with fantasy elements and the acting is good, but that's not a surprise. I saw both the leads in other shows and they are really good here, also the side characters are interesting too. This dramas definitely deserves a higher rating, but it is what it is. I just hope that others give this a chance, despite the low rating.

I feel that it happens with almost every actor these days. Sometimes they do not choose well and they end up with a role that does not suits them. With Lin Yi specifically, I loved him is Love Scenery, but for me Everyone Loves Me was just boring, and Put Your Head of My Shoulder was the first time I saw him so I didn't have an expectation, and in Derailment I was not interested in the story but he really did a good job. So Overall I'm excited to watch him in new dramas and want to see him in projects where he challenges himself, because his really talented, and I think he can have a good career.

And sorry for my ranting here :)

Seeing this drama, I think that I truly respect morticians. It's not an easy job, and I think they deserve a great deal of respect.

I really love these kinds of dramas. Mystery and solving murder cases is something that interests me, so this drama is just for me. Characters are well developed, and the actors are talented as well, so I'm really pleased with this.

And that's totally okay. Sometimes a show just doesn't reach us, even if the show itself is a gem.

I think she wanted to say that everyone can say anything about this drama but, every one of us has different taste too. For me this drama equally shows romance and war/politics. But maybe for others this might seem less romantic or to much romance. Like I said we have different taste and views so sometimes it's hard to recommend dramas. :)

I believe the rating for this drama is quite misleading. I loved it! I'm always open to mystery, action, and great storytelling, so for me, this drama was very enjoyable. The actors were phenomenal; I had seen Song Wei Long in a few other dramas, but the other actors were new to me. Despite that, I loved it, and I hope I can see these talented people in other dramas too.
So, if someone can recommend something. I'm open to it.

I hope we will see him more in the future. He's such a good actor, and I know that he's a freelance actor at the moment, so it's much harder to land roles, but I hope he will succeed. He truly deserves it.

But my biggest problem is that we might never see dramas like the Immortality or Heaven Official's blessing tv adaptations or winner is king etc. I understand that some people are not comfortable but there's plenty heterosexual dramas out there too. My problem is not even the censored versions of a tv series, yeah, it's sad that we can't experience some moments, but I can't accept that probably they'll never air Immortality or shows like that, even the censored versions. I just can't understand why.

That's true, but at the same time, I wish for a middle ground. I loved Untamed, Word of Honor, and now Justice in the Dark, but at the same time, because of the censorship, we will probably never see Immortality or the drama adaptation of the Heaven Officials blessing, and that's sad. But I understand your point, too. I just wish we could find a middle ground.

Did all of you ever think about the possibility of China not having censorship? I can only think about the lost opportunities we can never get back. Those projects we can never see and shows, like The Untamed, Justice in the Dark, Word of Honor, etc., are being censored. Of course, it's nice to see them, but I feel a little bit sad about this.

I want to cry—I really want to cry. We have so many great dramas that can't or will not air. I just really want to see them.

You mean the character Mu Chengyun, right? He's in the novel if I remember correctly.

Yes that's really sad, sometimes I really hate censorship. I mean I'm watching Chinese and Korean dramas since I was a kid and I love it soo much, but sometimes it's annoying, especially if it's a book based adaptation.

Yes me too. I really love strong female characters and I especially like her historical dramas.
