PLOT: The FL is 7 years old (daughter of a widowed restaurant owner) when she meets the ML (8 years old) whose parents are shaken by the death 1 year earlier of his sister. A grandmother (who works for the FL's father, arranges 1 meeting for him, with 1 single mother of 1 boy (ML2) aged 8 years. This mother will run away (debts) and leave her son in the care of the FL's father. At the same time, the ML's parents divorce. The 3 children will be raised by the two fathers (FL's and ML's) , grow up helping each other to face difficulties and traumas, and try to build their adult lives.

+++ Great actors (all), especially the 3 leads.
+++ Roughly realistic story, suited to the Korean context where family lineage is a priority.
+++ The characters are not black or white, but nuanced and well developed.

Une gd-mère travaillant pr le père de la FL, arrange 1 rencontre pr le père, avec 1 mère célibataire d'1 garçon (ML2) de 8 ans. Cette mère va s'enfuir (dettes) et laisser son fils aux soins du père de la FL. //t, les parents du ML divorcent. Les 3 enfants vont être élevés par les 2 pères, grandir en essayant de faire face aux difficultés et aux traumas, et essayer de construire leur vie d'adultes.

+++ Story à peu près réaliste, adaptée au contexte coréen où la lignée familiale est une priorité.

Rom-Life series with ML = Chen Xiao & Gulnezer as FL

PLOT: The FL finds the ML, a lover who left her 3 years ago, after the failure of their start-up, as a work partner. He has just created a new company with 2 friends (1 rich woman one-sided in love with the ML, 1 disillusioned forty-something playboy). The FL works in a marketing company and they must collaborate to consolidate the ML's Company.

+++ Excellent actors (I love Chen Xiao (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)) ALL of them! It's hard to leave them.
+++ Coherent story, full of humanity, realism... especially focused on "how we grow, we mature, we face obstacles".
+++ Lots of business (Chinese producers love entrepreneurship :) & lots of family (but no caricature parents). 2 well-developed secondary romances, with endearing characters.
+++ Effective production, sometimes a little slow, but adapted to this “slice of life” series.

Il vient de créer1 nvelle Ent. avec 2 amis (1 femme riche one-side-lover, 1 quadra désabusé). La FL travaille ds 1 entreprise de marketing et ils doivent collaborer pour consolider la Sté.

+++ Excellents acteurs (j'adore Chen Xiao (ღ˘⌣˘ღ) ) TOUS ! On a du mal à les quitter.
+++ Story cohérente, pleine d'humanité, de réalisme ... surtout axée sur "comment on grandit, on mature, on affronte les obstacles".
+++ Bcp de business (les producteurs chinois adorent l’entreprenariat :) & bcp de famille (mais pas de parents caricaturaux). 2 romances 2aires bien développées, avec des personnages attachants.
+++ Réalisation efficace, parfois un peu lente, mais adaptée à cette série "tranche de vie".

PLOT: On 1 decree issued by the Dowager Empress - Regent to balance the powers within the Court, The FL (lawyer, who works for the Justice Department marries The Wight Gosht (ML, terrific, overseeing the security of the Capital), in place of her sister who has already a lover. The beginnings are full of mistrust (spy? Bad guy?) but the couple falls in love over the course of their adventures. However, they must face multiple obstacles: power issues, conspiracy, rivals, Great Villain, Evil sect, etc.

+++ This series shows a magical Ding Yu Xi. He has matured, gained a little weight, and shines with beauty and charisma
♡o｡.(✿ฺ｡ ✿ฺ). Wow, what an evolution compared to his first roles!
+++ Deng En Xi embodies a very beautiful but very young FL. Her interactions with ML sometimes lack depth. I'm waiting to see how she will grow as an actress.
+++ The production is efficient and dynamic. The costumes, sets, framing, etc. are magnificent.

### L'histoire est très axée sur les luttes de pouvoir et la succession. Certains points sont très discutables (Régence par la Grand-Mère ??)

An excellent drama, not memorable, but very nice.

Heartwarming Rom-Business series, with Miles Wei as ML (•ө•)♡ .

PLOT: The FL, contractual reception employee in a big bank, meets the ML, ex-high school friend, in a speed dating. They decide to get married after a while, but the FL, transferred to a new department, discovers that the ML is her direct superior. However, the bank prohibits a couple from working in the same branch. So they have to hide their relationship.

PROS:
+++ An adorable CL with great chemistry. Their interactions are very natural and cute. No unnecessary break-ups, the relationship is mature, trusting, it feels good!
+++ Very good supporting actors, who develop their characters well. The work team, the parents, ... are realistic and very endearing (I really like the CL2'S dialogues, less cliché than CL, and quite funny). We quit on an open ending for the CL3, but their break-up is realistic due to the FL3's immaturity.
+++ The pace is balanced and the production efficient. The OSTs are suitable and I like the cute sound effects.

CONS:
### Certain clichés are still present: the one-sided-love for years, the obsessed love rival, etc.

=> An excellent drama, not memorable, but very nice.

PLOT: La FL, gestionnaire d'accueil contractuelle dans une grosse banque, retrouve le ML, ex-camarade de lycée, dans un speed dating. Ils décident de se marier au bout de qq temps, mais la FL, transférée dans un nouveau service, découvre que le ML est son supérieur direct. Or, la banque interdit à un couple de travailler dans la même succursale. Ils doivent donc cacher leur relation.
PROS:
+++ Un CL adorable et avec une belle alchimie. Leurs interactions sont très naturelles et cute. Pas de break-up inutile, la relation est mature, de confiance, ça fait du bien !
+++ De très bons acteurs support, qui développent bien leur personnage. L'équipe de travail, les parents, ... sont réalistes et très attachants (j'aime beaucoup les dialogues du CL2, moins cliché que le CL, et assez drôles). On reste sur une open ending pour le CL3, mais leur break-up est réaliste en raison de l'immaturité de la FL3.
+++ Le rythme est soutenu et la réalisation efficace. Les OST sont adaptés et j'aime bien les bruitages mignons.
CONS:

PLOT: The FL, smart and skillful, is hired by the ML, a young master jade engraver, rich & quite idle (because he is disabled following an assault). FL's sister (FL2) works for the rival company, which works in secret (as the Villains) to dominate the market and she spies to find evidence of ML2's villainy.

+++ Good actors, notably Bi Wen Jun & FL2 (whose badass Mary Sue character is one of the most interesting in the series).

### The storyline is coherent, but the narration is slow, and the production low-budget. The light tone, the caricatured and useless characters, the overly obvious coincidences,... irritated me quickly. The series quickly loses its interest ( viewed in Speed ​​X 1.5 and dotted lines).

=> Without much interest despite the "jade and engraving" context.

PLOT: The FL, ambitious and cunning, managed to become empress, but hated and abandoned by everyone, she ended up to commit suicide. But she wakes up in her 18-year-old body, just as she is due to enter the palace. She decides to do everything to avoid the same events. The ML, Imperial teacher & advisor to the emperor, is threatening, but will provide her with valuable help.

+++ Addictive, mysterious series where the suspense is well done.
+++ Super CL (OK, I was allready a fan of the 2 leads before watching the series) but they bring to life these tormented, complex, calculating, ... and touching characters, with so much talent! And their alchemy is the screen is explosive!
+++ a grandiose OVERALL casting: Wang Xing Yue, Zhou Jun Wei, etc.
+++ OST very suited to the atmosphere
+++ Effective production, with sumptuous settings and costumes, credible fight and battle scenes. The quality matches the budget :)

Very personal question: I read comments on the 2 ML, where some deplored that the FL did not end with Zhang Ze. For me, this upright, rigorous, even rigid character (magnificently played by Wang Xing Yue) lacks charisma and humanity. I have to prefer the Bad Guys :)

Mais se réveille dans son corps de 18 ans, au moment où elle doit entrer au palais. Elle décide de tout faire pour éviter les mêmes évènements. Le ML, Impérial teacher & conseiller de l'empereur, est menaçant, mais va lui apporter une aide précieuse.

+++ Série addictive, mystérieuse où le suspense est bien mené.
+++ Super CL (OK, j'étais une fan des 2 leads avant de regarder la série) mais ils donnent vie à ces personnages tourmentés, complexes, calculateurs, ... et touchants, avec tellement de talent ! Et leur alchimie à l'écran est explosive !
+++ un casting GLOBAL grandiose : Wang Xing Yue, Zhou Jun Wei, etc.
+++ OST très adaptés à l'ambiance

A very good, entertaining lakorn, which exploited "office romance" and junior/senior tropes well.

Very cute romance between an intern and an experienced lawyer, within a large legal firm. Rivalries between lawyers and love triangles. In addition, the ML is implicated in 1 drug case and later, his father is accused of murder.

PROS:
+ A very cute CL, with good chemistry. I really like Kongthap Peak (more than FL).
+ well-developed, coherent secondary characters, played by talented actors.
+ an almost credible storyline
+ production without too much length.
+ unmemorable OSTs, but not too intrusive.

CONS (witch lakorn doesn't have one??):
### twists and coincidences sometimes too obvious.
### ML's attitude towards his parents, whom he wishes to reunite after 10 years of divorce and a remarriage, totally infantile for his age. What was the screenwriter thinking about?
### some scenes are unrealistic (morgue scene - ep. 14), acceptable in Thai culture but not for Western viewers, even forgiving ones. Same thing for the permanent intrusion of the FL's mother into her life (professional and emotional) inacceptable for an adult child!
### in the finale, the CL's behavior (to add comedy in the ending) is irrelevant: He distant and she childish.

=> I don't think I will rewatch it, but i had a pleasant moment... And I'm waiting to the next Kongthap Peak's works :)

Romance très cute entre un stagiaire et une avocate confirmée, au sein d'un grand cabinet juridique. Rivalités entre avocats et love triangle. De plus, le ML est mis en cause dans 1 affaire de drogue et plus tard, son père est accusé de meurtre.

PROS:
+ Un CL très cute, avec une bonne alchimie. J'aime bcp Kongthap Peak (+ que la FL).
+ des personnages secondaires bien développés, cohérents, interprétés par des acteurs talentueux.
+ une storyline à peu près crédible
+ réalisation sans trop de longueurs.
+ des OST non mémorables, mais pas trop envahissantes.

CONS (quel lakorn n'en a pas ??):
### twists et coïncidences parfois trop évidents.
### attitude du ML par rapport à ses parents, qu'il souhaite réunir après 10 ans de divorce et un remariage, totalement infantile pour son âge. A quoi pensait le screenwriter ?
### certaines scènes sont irréalistes (scène de la morgue - ép. 14), acceptables dans la culture thaï mais pas pour des viewers occidentaux, même indulgents. Même chose que l'intrusion permanente des parents dans la vie (professionnelle et sentimentale) de leur enfant adulte !
### dans le final, le comportement du CL (pour ajouter du comique à la ending) n'est pas pertinent : Lui distant et elle infantile.

=> Un très bon lakorn, distrayant, qui a bien exploité le trope "romance de bureau" et junior/senior.

Excellent Xianxia : same universe as TMOPB, but different vibe.

For me, the universe is quite similar as TMOPB, but the tone is different.

PLOT: A young phoenix/demon general, (the FL) meets -in the mortal realm- the last of the old gods (the ML) in cultivation. She flees her arranged marriage with the grandson of the Celestial God, whom she considers frivolous and brainless. ML & FL will spend time together and form a deep bond. But this divine lord carries on his shoulders the balance of the 3 kingdoms and cannot let himself be disturbed by love.

This first narrative arc, short (10 episodes), is quite light. The narration is fast and the main characters well described. Overall, the CGI is good, but the spirit beasts and other animals are unconvincing.

The 2nd story arc tells the return to the immortal kingdom and the rise in power of the “villains”. New characters appear (granddaughter of the Celestial God) to lighten the rather dark tone. The FL will fight to the death. We then have several painful episodes, both for the FL and the ML.

During the 3rd story arc, the ML is now ready to accept his love. This is where he is most vulnerable and most moving. He puts the FL back on her feet, with Lady Jin 's help, a wacky character well-found to bring a little touch of humor. And everyone prepares themself for the final Great Battle.
There are a lot of flashbacks, cleverly introduced, to provide explanations for the arrival of events. I really like the characters of Liuyu and Fenglai.
The Happy Ending is well developed (2 episodes), but the "wink to Lady Jin - her fiancé" is a bit forced, not too successful.

PROS:
+ A great CL with Lin Geng Xin and Zhao Li Ying (alchemy & talent: a GREAT couple)
+ The actors are TOP (all).
+ The CGI (except animals) are very successful
+ The fight scenes are perfect
+ Sceneries, settings, make-ups, .... perfect.
+ The OSTs are epic and well suited (except during a painful scene, catchy music :( )
+ No real love triangle.

CONS:
- The romance / action / humor / melodrama balance is not as good as expected. There is too much suffering and the humor is a little forced.
- Some twists seem a bit artificial.

=> An excellent Xianxia, ​​fast paced, not too long, with a great cast and a great CL... but not up to the level of the mischief and humor of TMOPB for me.

Excellent Xianxia avec Lin Geng Xin et Zhao Li Ying en CL.
L'univers est assez semblable à TMOPB, mais le ton est différent.

PLOT: Une jeune phoenix / générale démon, (la FL) rencontre -dans le royaume mortel- le dernier des anciens dieux (le ML) en cultivation. Elle fuit son mariage arrangé avec le petit-fils du Dieu Céleste, qu'elle juge frivole et écervelé. Ils vont passer du temps ensemble et tisser un lien profond. Mais ce seigneur divin porte sur ses épaules l'équilibre des 3 royaumes et ne peut pas se laisser troubler.

Ce 1er arc narratif, court (10 épisodes), est assez léger. La narration est rapide et les principaux personnages bien décrits. Globalement, les CGI sont de bonne qualité, mais les bêtes spirituelles et autres animaux sont peu convaincants.

Le 2e arc narratif traite du retour dans le royaume immortel, de la montée en puissance des "villains". De nouveaux personnages apparaissent (petite-fille du Dieu Céleste) pour alléger le ton plutôt sombre. La FL va se battre jusqu'à la mort. On a ensuite plusieurs épisodes douloureux, tant pour la FL que le ML.

Durant le 3e arc narratif, le ML est désormais prêt à assumer son amour. C'est là qu'il est le plus vulnérable et le plus émouvant. Il remet la FL sur pied, avec l'aide de Dame Jin, personnage loufoque bientrouvé pour apporter un peu d'humour. Et tout le monde se prépare pour aborder la Grande Bataille finale.
Il y a beaucoup de flash-backs, astucieusement introduits, pour donner les explications sur l'arrivée des évènements. J'aime beaucoup les personnages de Liuyu et de Fenglai.
La Happy End est bien développée (2 épisodes), mais le "clin d'oeil Dame Jin- son fiancé" est un peu forcé, pas trop réussi.

PROS:
+ Un CL génial (alchimie, talent : a GREAT couple)
+ Les acteurs sont au TOP (tous).
+ Les CGI (sauf animaux) sont très réussis
+ Les scènes de fight sont parfaites
+ Les OST sont épiques et bien adaptés (sauf lors d'une scène douloureuse, une musique entrainante :( )
+ Pas de réel love triangle.

CONS:
- L'équilibre romance / action / humour / mélo n'est pas aussi bon qu'attendu. Il y a trop de souffrance et l'humour est un peu forcé.
- Certains twists semblent un peu artificiels.

=> Un excellent Xianxia, rythmé, pas trop long, avec un super cast et un CL génial ... mais pas à la hauteur de la malice et de l'humour de TMOPB pour moi.

+ Série très japonaise : thème, rituels, comportements très codifiés, etc. et format de la série (8 épisodes)

⊕ But, fortunately, there is Li Ge Yang as ML, adorable with his young Song Joon Ki side (•ө•)♡
⊝ In addition, it is full of clichés (ML with trauma and allergy to contact with women, accidental encounters, excessively dominating father and stepmother, ...) and an acting very very overplayed!! I don't question the actors' talent, the producer asked them to play like that, but this bias to accentuate the humor does not allow us to adhere to the characters.
- The production is very "Manga": with cute sound effects, visual overlays, protagonist who evokes their thoughts and feelings out loud, facial expressions, etc.
⊕ The actors are young, handsome (one might even wonder if this series does not aim to highlight the young generation of handsome actors) and talented.
- The OSTs are “cute”.
⊝ The story, apart from the clichés, is very classic/codified: bad start in the CL, contractual relationship which becomes real, obsessive ex who creates issues, break-up, reconciliation and "the good guys win the battle against the bad guys", Happy Ending. We can add the other 2 CL which showcase other types (all equally classic) of romance.
⊝ Final problem resolution is too hasty.

=> Series which is not of great interest, except for fans of Li Ge Yang

Comédie romantique totalement pipée ... style Manga ou Anime.

Beaucoup d'incohérences, rarement vu à ce point-là (la FL éponge le trottoir alors qu'il pleut (◍´͈ꈊ`͈◍).

⊕ Mais, heureusement, il y a Li Ge Yang en ML, craquant avec son côté Song Joon Ki jeune (•ө•)♡
⊝ De plus, c'est bourré de clichés (ML avec trauma et allergie au contact des femmes, rencontres accidentelles, père dominateur excessif et belle-mère, ...) et très très surjoué !! Je ne remets pas en cause le talent des acteurs, on leur a demandé de jouer comme ça, mais ce parti pris pour accentuer l'humour, ne permet pas d'adhérer aux personnages.

- La réalisation est très "Manga" : avec bruitages mignons, incrustations visuelles, protagoniste qui évoque ses pensées et sentiments à haute voix, mimiques, etc.
⊕ Les acteurs sont jeunes, beaux (on peut même se demande si cette série ne vise pas à mettre en lumière la jeune génération d'acteurs handsome) et talentueux.
- Les OST sont "mignonnes".
⊝ La story, hormis les clichés, est très classique / codifiée : mauvais départ dans le CL, relation contractuelle qui devient réelle, ex obsessive qui vient poser problème, break-up, réconciliation et "les gentils gagnent la bataille contre les méchants", HE. On peut y ajouter les 2 autres CL qui exposent d'autres cas (tous aussi classiques) de romance.
⊝ La résolution finale des problèmes est trop hâtive.

Immerse yourself in your student years and in a magnificent love story

Interesting Japanese drama, a little outdated (clothes, hairstyles), which talks about disability (loss of hearing for a musician), and the uncertainties of a group of 5 students, at the end of their studies facing entry into work life .

PLOT: At university, meeting between ML, a 4th year student with girlfriend and a 22 year old FL, violinist who has become deaf. Despite himself and in spite of herself, their lives will be turned upside down.

PROS:
+ I don't know the actors, but they are very talented. they make us experience this poignant story with intensity. We immerse ourselves (or re-immerse in my case) in this time of student life, where everyone seeks their own path, with carefreeness, but also hesitations, anxieties, friendship, love, ...
+ Themes approached in detail, with intelligence.

CONS:
- the actors look a little old for their role, but that is not the case. They were actually in the right age range, in their twenties. But in 2024, actors playing student roles have a much more youthful appearance; wich is why older dramas can induce some confusion (with their hairstyles and whatnot).

Japanese Drama intéressant, un peu daté, qui aborde les thèmes du handicap (perte de l'ouïe pour une musicienne), et les incertitudes d'un groupe de 5 étudiants, en fin d'études face à l'entrée dans la vie active.

PLOT: A l'université, rencontre entre un étudiant de 4e année (avec petite amie) et une FL de 22 ans, violoniste qui est devenue sourde. Malgré lui et malgré elle, leur vie va être bouleversée.

PROS:
+ je ne connais pas les acteurs, mais ils ont beaucoup de talent. ils nous font vivre cette histoire poignante avec intensité. On se plonge (ou re-plonge pour mon cas) dans cette époque de la vie étudiante, où chacun cherche sa voie, avec l'insouciance, mais aussi les hésitations, les angoisses, l'amitié, l'amour, ...
+ Thèmes abordés finement, avec intelligence.

CONS:
- les acteurs font un peu âgés pour leur rôle, ce qui n'est pourtant pas le cas en réalité. Mais en 2024, les acteurs ayant un rôle d'étudiants, ont un aspect beaucoup plus juvénile.

The Taiwanese version is old and outdated, but this one is more dynamic and funnier.

Well rated remake, but with a very lakorn touch (long breaks on stares, lots of violence, twisted villains, etc.).

PLOT: Meeting between a jewelry forger (the FL) and the heir of a jewelry group, the ML. He discovers that his fiancée is cheating on him with a family rival (the same villain actor as usual :(
The ML sends the FL to prison. When she comes back out, they meet again and survive a few adventures, which bind them strongly. But the ML's uncle separates them...

PROS:
+ Good actors
+ correct OST
+ dynamic production

CONS:
- Low quality audio,
- twists too obvious,
- story poorly written.

=> Only to pass the time, with lots of skipping.

A good show about mother/daughter relationships in adulthood

PLOT: The FL, only daughter of a single mother, is a police inspector, demoted, and sent to a small police station. There she finds her sunbae, the ML, also a disgraced police officer.
The FL's mother had difficult times, as a pregnant high school student, she was abandoned by her boyfriend et had to face theis difficult situation alone. She became a Physiotherapist, yet still has the soul of a teenager. But later FL's father reappears in their life...

PROS:
+ the series is mainly focused on the mother-daughter relationship, played by 2 great actresses.
+ the 2dary characters are well developed, and all the actors are excellent.
+ The story tells the daily life of ordinary Koreans (no Chaebol or CEO with succession conflicts)
+ The production is dynamic, without length

CONS:
- this series is about family relationships (biological or not) and family ties,....... Therefore there is little romance, but really few sweet scenes. i was disapointed !

=> We let ourselves be carried away by this mother-daughter duo, a little too close-knit at first to life their life separatly...

PLOT : La FL, fille unique d'une mère célibataire, est inspectrice de police, rétrogradée, et envoyée dans petit commissariat. Elle y retrouve son sunbae, le ML, lui aussi policier en disgrâce.
La mère de la FL a eu des moments difficiles, qd, lycéenne enceinte, elle a du affronter la situation. Elle est devenue Physiothérapeute, mais garde une âme d'ado. Le père de la FL réapparait dans sa vie ...

PROS:
+ la série est surtout centrée sur la relation mère-fille, interprétée par 2 grandes actrices.
+ les personnages 2daires sont bien développés, et tous les acteurs sont excellents.
+ La story traite de la vie quotidienne de coréens ordinaires (pas de Chaebol ou de CEO avec conflits de succession)
+ La réalisation est dynamique, sans longueur

CONS:
- une série qui traite de la famille (biologique ou non) et des liens familiaux.
- un peu de romance, mais vraiment peu de sweet scènes.
