I love when this happens. When I watch a show I had no real expectations for, good or bad, and end up absolutely falling in love with it. Same happened with LBFD.

Hopefully we get more xianxia like this going forward. With good pacing, lovely characters and side characters, and actual healthy romances! And not to mention brilliant actors. ❤️

So Rang. His relationship with the crown princess seemed very distant. Like they didn't truly get to know each other. He loved the idea of her, rather than who she really was.

If she had lived he might have fallen out of love with his perfect image of her. On the other hand he knows So Rang in all her silliness.

I also think his continued obession with his wife was due to a sense of helplessness and a lack of closure. He was never allowed to move on, his enemies made sure of that.
