Total views for the month November is 597 million and the per episode average is 597/36 = 16.583 million. The list I provided show the average views per episode, eg: The Knockout has 261m views per episode and a total playback volume of 261*39 episodes(10.179 billion views). This is the world wide data. Chinese shows are broadcasted worldwide through online platforms like iQIYI, Youku,etc. and some shows are shown on TV(China).

Maoyan and other related sites publishes how popular the drama from interactions in social media eg: from weibo, douyin(chinese tiktok),etc. For example : Interactions between viewers about the drama online, may be a short clip shared, may be a post shared about the drama etc. This might get millions of views, but it is not something which is beneficial directly to the platforms which broadcasts the dramas whether it is on tv, online or both. This is how they rank, hence why Wang Hedi's character may be the most popular or discussed but that does not mean OFL has that many views. ( It is similar to twitter, we can see how many people have viewed it eg: a picture of Wang Hedi's character )

Peng Yu Chang is a movie actor with 0 idol baggage, so he can comfortably act the extreme emotions. Traffic actors won't be able to let go of themselves like that. It is adapted from a webcomic hence why there is exaggerated emotions. Very few people know him outside of China, so it is easy to shit on him. 0 charisma? I don't know how you have watched the previous episodes and thought his character is designed to be charismatic. He was trained by his grandfather when he was young, so he is not someone who became strong when the plot decided. Hiding his abilities and being shameless is not a loser mentality, after all he promised his grandfather he won't show his abilities. This is called perseverance.

You are obviously a fan of Hou Minghao, hence why you feel that he is the most perfect character out there, if he had played Zhang Chulan, you would probably praise him for his acting. And for your appraisal on Feng Bao Bao, I don't think I have to say anything, the character is supposed to be unreal and emotionless.

Audiences who are used to extremely good-looking ML's and some with huge fan following would find it difficult to accept the ML.
