Yes, I am sure the drama would've turned out much better if there wasn't for what happened. I already finished it and I am positive that the channel's initial idea would've been much better than that.

If you want to discover taiga dramas than you need to watch Atsu Hime and Ryoma Den. If you like those then I can always recommend you more.

You mean "unnecessary", right? I also didn't find it unnecessary because of the arguments you said and it's always nice to see a recent remake of something old. Recently I saw Miyamoto Musahi's remake with Kimmy and I found it quite cool. I know that no one can replace Mifune but this is worth the try CS, believe me.

I finished the whole winter season and I started, finished some specials from the spring season as well until the other ones begin. And wait, "my Gunshi Kanbei"? Are you kidding or something? Since when did it become yours? It's going good like any taiga drama, they're subbing it for you, ne?

I am watching the drama and I consider it one of the best dramas for the winter season. As you said this is a delicate matter and the association has the right to protest but the freedom of speech shouldn't allow them to. This is a fictional drama and as you clearly stated only idiots take facts from dramas and films so they would've been better off without drawing too much attention to themselves and to the poor children.

They did? Whoa, right when decided to watch it raw they released the subs. It makes you think that maybe you should've waited a little longer :D

I get what you mean. It's like Miike's remake of 13 Assassins and Harakiri especially the latter. But it's Kimmy so I am looking forward to his Samurai portrayal once again :D
