One of the very best! 10/10. A+.
It’s hands-down one of the very best fantasy-romance/xianxia-ish/xuanhua-ish dramas I’ve ever seen and it’s stayed that way no matter how many others I’ve watched. Loved it so much I’ve watched multiple times. It’s truly a set-the-bar-high kind of drama, and if you love the fantasy-romance genre it’s an absolute must-watch.
Fantasy, romance, action, intrigue, visuals, music, it’s all here a million times over. Both leads’ characters are strong, fun, romantic. Side characters are fabulous (cat and the dragon in their human forms are awesome!).
You’ll cry, laugh, cheer, and probably tap the rewind button a few times in the steamier parts. Hou Minghao and Yu Luxiao have rare and perfect onscreen chemistry, and it shines through. Nice cinematography gives it an eye-candy feel, you’re happy to spend time in this realm.
