The last time I read the comments here was when episode 7 was released. Now I’ve started reading the comments again with episode 21 out, all because of the annoying Qing Cheng and I’ve started commenting about him too. I’ve been reading some of the latest comments in this community, and it seems everyone is frustrated with Qing Cheng. I don’t know whether to laugh or feel sad 😭, because I feel the same way. Hang in there, everyone once we see Cheng Yi back on screen, it’ll heal us from all the frustration caused by Qing Cheng

Honestly, this is what I’ve been most afraid of regarding the rating. I really hope everything turns out fine. I’ve been holding myself back from commenting about Qing Cheng, but I couldn’t hold it in any longer. I finally left a comment 30 minutes ago

It’s really, really annoying. I can’t skip it because I don’t want to miss any part of the story, but I end up watching it at 3x speed. I can tolerate it when his scenes are few, but over time, they just keep increasing. I was hoping to see more of Cheng Yi, Guo Jun Chen, Li Yi Tong, and now Chang Hua Sen. But it feels like Qing Cheng’s scenes are getting more and more frequent, probably because he’s going to be the final villain before the Fox Queen makes her move.

I don’t know why, but I really hate the character Qing Cheng here. He’s so annoying, even more than Quan Jing Ting. I always speed up (3x) the video whenever his scenes start. It just feels like such a waste of time, and his screen time keeps increasing as the episodes go on. I was right to think from the start that this character had something evil even back when he was still a spirit. And he only gets more annoying after turning human. Just my opinion, though

This drama definitely needs a season 2. There are so many unanswered questions. The characters’ personalities in zombie dramas like this are nothing new — there are always lots of conflicts, fights, and so on. But the one I hate the most is Mook. Why did she have to inject zombie blood into Non? Non could have survived like the others, even though only Ning was saved by Wiroj. Didn’t Non seem hesitant when San told him to go and get on the helicopter? But then suddenly, Mook injected him. That was really cruel. Mook has killed so many people already, like when she let Pao go. If she hadn’t done that, Pao and the others might have survived. This is just my opinion

The casting in this drama is really amazing. Guo Jun Chen’s acting is also great. I really like Guo Jun Chen in Sword and Beloved and The Life of the White Fox. Although I’ve watched some of his other dramas as well, these two are different and are the ones that made me truly like Guo Jun Chen

The more I look at them, Guo Jun Chen and Cheng Yi actually seem a bit similar over time . But if you look too closely, they’re definitely not alike. It’s just when you’re a bit farther away that they look alike, in my opinion. Especially when they’re both wearing fur coats (Cheng Yi in white, Guo Jun Chen in black). Isn’t that so?

Oh no 😭. I'm really waiting for those 2 dramas. Hopefully The Vendetta of An can air soon, I saw it on Youku's upcoming drama list, maybe this drama won't air anytime soon, because I observe that website every day, there are already 4 dramas that were previously at the bottom that have moved to the top, like Ren Jia Lun and Zhao Jin Mai's dramas. But, it's okay, the important thing is that this drama airs. For Hero Legends, I hope there's a solution to the problems in this drama, this drama seems very interesting, especially with Cheng Yi playing in it, even the other actors in this drama are top-tier.

Please, everyone, I'm truly obsessed with this drama. No, I'm actually obsessed with Cheng Yi 😭. I've been watching Chinese dramas for years, since elementary school, but I've only really consistently watched them for the past 5 years or so, since COVID-19. Because I've watched so many dramas, I sometimes get bored easily when watching xianxia or xuanhuan genres, except for wuxia, I would never miss it (But, still considering the male lead role I like). However, this drama is different, I'm willing to watch it all the way through, the 5 episodes yesterday felt so fast. Cheng Yi is truly amazing and never disappoints. His expressions when fighting, turning, speaking, looking around, glancing, etc., are always the same, which can be said to be his characteristic.

I started to know Cheng Yi from the dramas Mysterious Lotus Casebook and The Journey of Legend. That's why I'm a little disappointed that his voice is dubbed, because in the first drama of his that I watched, the voice actor was himself. However, I don't feel that his dubbed voice in this drama Sword and Beloved is unsuitable, it can be said to be fitting. I'm very happy that the voice actor in Sword and Beloved is not the same voice actor as in the dramas Love and Redemption and Immortal Samsara, because I felt that voice was very strange for dubbing Cheng Yi's voice.

I really like this drama, I like Cheng Yi in the Historical genre, and I can't wait for his other dramas Hero Legend and The Vendetta of An to air. Maybe someone knows when these 2 dramas will air?

Does anyone know if Wangquan Fu Gui’s voice in this drama is Cheng Yi’s original voice? I watched the trailer, but I couldn’t really tell.

I personally prefer Cheng Yi’s original voice, like in Mysterious Lotus Casebook and The Journey of Legend. Sometimes when his voice is dubbed by someone else, it just doesn’t feel right to me, it sounds a bit off. That’s just how I feel though, no offense to anyone
