Initially, I was quite upset that Mike was replaced by Gawin. But after watching Gawin's performance, I agree that he did dig deeper into the character. You can see at times, Krist as Kawi is really intimidated by him as it's intended to be. His version of Pisaeng just has that natural vibe without him even trying too hard. From the trailer, Mike's Pisaeng seems more like a somewhat slow burning version whereas Gawin's more aggressive. The latter fits better with Kawi's childish personality.
I'm not sure I agree with this logic. Viewers can choose not to watch a show for a variety of reasons and they're…
If you feel personally called out by my comment then it's too bad as it wasn't my intention. But yeah people react differently according to their own experiences so you're entitled to feel that. My intention was to let people see it from a different perspective. This form of presentation(you may call it art too)needs an open mind. If we insist on watching it with our own values/experiences, we can't never appreciate the message. I'm sure the series will explore beyond the theme of cheating. Personally, I support this series because I will get to see things from the so called " cheater's POV". Now, that is something that not every production can produce. Maybe reading up to this point, you're saying in your head "There's nothing to understand about a cheater. Wrong is wrong". Well to each its own I guess. It's like watching CSI. Some hate it because they think it encourages or even teaches crime. But from another POV, some actually think that it saves their lives. So it's safe to conclude that this MC series is not for everyone which is fine.
Some of you are saying you won't be watching this due to its cheating content. The thing is, it happens around you or maybe you yourself have cheated before. But yeah let's face it, each of us has cheated in one way or another. The different is how big that cheat is and whether one is caught doing it or not. Sometimes we refuse to accept something because it represents us and/or our reality. My only complain is 8 episodes are too short for such a non-conventional show.
If I'm not mistaken, he really is younger than film? I thought he is older
Well if you've watched him in The Love Proposal you'd probably think he's wayyyyyy older 😜🤭 He's got that natural daddy vibe. But if you watch other videos of him interacting with fans you'll notice that he is still baby from the way he behaves😇
Oh wow quite a number of you complaining about his acting. I have only watched him in YYY and I think he can do comedy/sitcom. I can't say for other genres as I haven't seen him in those. Anyway, is it just me or he sometimes resembles Film Thanapat. A fairer version of Film. I have just recently diacovered Film from Khun Chai. Suddenly, Yoon's came out in my Youtube recommendations and I've noticed their reaemblance. What you guys think? Yes or no?
I came to check how many episodes till it's over so l can wait and binge, I guess we'll have to suffer till January…
I bet you must have watched bits of Tian & Jiu somewhere right? 😅 Go on and watch it! I've watched some One31's series before. This Khun Chai is perhaps the fastest ever they have worked on their subtitles. It was subtitled 1 week after the first 2 EPs were released. Previously, the waiting time could go as long as 3 weeks to 1 month for 1 EP to get subtitled.
By the trailer, they focus of the story isn’t he and the dude, but the heir + all those problems with his family
But this time around, the gay characters are actually one of the main leads. Unlike what One31 has previously done where the gay characters are always the supporting characters. So by that logic, the story should revolve around Khun Chai & his lover maybe in the middle of all the family mess. LOL even the title is "Khun Chai" 🤭 Either way, we'll find out tonight (3rd October 2022)
So they've replaced Mike. Can't wait to see the official trailer with Gawin & Krist. Although I do feel that Gawin's vibe is too strong for Krist. He's physically a big guy that I think should be paired with someone like Podd, Earth or even Mike himself to at least match the physical vibe. Krist is physically small so I don't know how things will go.
Did any of you notice? The Rak Diao playlist on One31 channel has been updated. Now there's 1 video that's yet to be made public in that playlist. Is that the EP16 or?? Does anyone know?
bare in mind that my standards have been lowered because i suffered Enchanté for 8 weeks in a row earlier this…
LoL....I expected Enchante to be at least somewhat emotional in some episodes and damn it looks kinda expensive from the trailer. Unfortunately, GMMTV decided to add this one into their mediocre series list. Some of you mentioned 2gether as your lowered expectation. Well, Enchante has just joined the team. This series would have worked and even become a global sensation if it was aired during the Covid 19 peak like 2gether. But now that we are slowly regaining our sanity, it's just another one going into my "Never again" case.
I didn't even watch this one. Seeing the trailer alone threw me off. I mean if you wanna do a 1000 Stars 2.0 at least do it better, no?? I immediately felt that this was a 1000 Stars ripoff from the trailer. Such a disrespect. Secondly, there's absolutely no chemistry between the MLs. Again, you can tell it just from the trailer. They're like "Ok let's get this over with real quick as long as I get my paycheck" I've always found Mek's expressions are sometimes weird/exaggerated. Well, up until now I think he's just a handsome face that's it. He hasn't redeemed himself.
if he did, it wouldn't shock me. The Thai industry intentionally hires light skinned actors so that the Skin Whitening…
Yes but how many of them? Not substantial enough for sure. Even those considered "dark skin" today are still relatively fair compared to their seniors in the 80's/90's.

Perhaps I forgot to specify. As I wrote that, I was looking at it from a BL production perspective. You can see the exact patterns happening. Fair skinned actors are favoured for the main roles for the same reasons as women.
Definitely not defending him or blaming people for bringing up the past. This is how showbiz works nowadays. Everything can be rewinded and replayed. Don't even need paparazzi anymore as anyone can cause harm from anywhere in the world without the need to be tailing a celebrity all day everyday. But just go and look at our own Facebook updates history. That alone is enough to make us feel stupid about ourselves. So points taken here. Delete or turn all your social medias into "private" if you ever become famous to reduce the probability of such incidents happening.

The funny thing is that, majority of Thai people are not even light skinned. Most Thais are tanned. That's why actors who have tanned skin like Apo himself usually stand out more when being cast because everyone else looks the same and forgettable. I think it's also due to the influence of Kpop and Korean culture. Nowadays, all (well most) Asian (Especially South East) take Korean look as their beauty standards.
