So , it's true events for true story that haunted korea for decades ,,, you see victims as stupid people because you assume they lived the exact life you lived but it happened and women were killed for whatever stupid reason it was it just happened like that sue them

I'm hooked to this drama for the friendship between the two male leads not for the crime story
but still it's really enjoyable

After episode four it's definitely not him
also the build is totally different from the guy sitting across the male lead

How can he be Si Yeong and the criminal talking about Si Yeong to the male lead ?? would he talk about himself

I'm watching the drama not for the murders, because I already saw that same case in two dramas before this one
I'm watching for the two male leads who were at each other's throats from the beginning, and it began revealing they both are best buddies with a complicated past
I'm a succer for bromance even with two ajussis. Also, both were the same in Chaimera drama enamies to best friends

Since Chaimera they were at odds and became best friends later on ,, both were thought to be brothers as here too lOL

so I think I'm the oldest here I will tell you young people of modern heavy populated cities that in the late 90s and 80s women walked for miles to get to anywhere at night in very deserted areas,, there were some places and still there are in some countries that have too little civilization,, it's like a deserted village or farms only land where houses where scattered in a vast area of farms and plantation ,,, so Acers of feilds surround a house then another then another and a road connecting those houses through the feilds to the mid town area where there are shops, police station, old clinic, gas staion and everything that village needs
There were only two to four buses in that place, and every bus went around the village in an hour or two. If you missed one, you would be sitting ducks for any danger until the next hour bus comes, so people walked then. Women who are returning from their jobs to their homes or going to visit someone have to walk these fields to get there and may take a shortcut sometimes
if there is a monster in the village haunting women, that's very dangerous because they all live there and have to walk these fields daily ,, those women weren't putting themselves in danger by choice ,, it's the way they lived back then

And this story is a real story from Korean history, not fiction

Obviously you didn't live in rural areas but I lived in the desert and I mean the desert for four years and in a very rural area with acers of feilds ... both were scary both have no residential neighborhood nor modern residential community like now because at the time late ninties there were that one house surrounded by acers of field then another house surrounded by acers of land and so on then there is like mid town place where there are supermarkets , and something similar to civilization there but to go home from your family home in the middle of no where to the civilized place you need to ride a bus or have to walk if you missed that one bus that passes every hour or two ,there were no Ober nor taxis at the time not so many, so it's not a choice
it's not their own free will to walk at night in such deserted area ,, it's the way they live and how their land was planned and occupied

I added Chimera drama to the recommendations because both have the same cast and the same detective genre. I thought at first this one is season two of Chimera
if you like thrilling detective and friendship drama, Chimera is the one for you it has the two ajussis they were enamis at first but became brothers later on

in persuit of jade from first episode it hooked me in ,, this is a let down ,,, i've waited for so long and I can't get into the story
the female lead was one of child actresses I watched in so many dramas that I love so basically for me she's a baby ,,, yes I know she's 18 but her young baby characters I watched before is still in my head
that's why I can't get into her character here at all
zhang kang le is someone also I love watching so much ,, but he excells in bromance dramas ,, or fighting dramas ,,, his personality fit this genera perfectly
he is quite good here but still there is something lacking
and lenroy loved him in blossom here can't understand his character
