Hi, I hope you are well.

I watch dramas. I prefer Asian's shows because they contain more heart, soul and emotions, and depict, in my opinion, more nuanced, interesting, delicate (and less sexualized) characters and relationships than Western's. They have their flaws. But so far I still like them much more.

Themes I'm looking for are strong friendships/brother-sisterhood ('bro/sismance')/platonic bonds, unconditional/'spiritual' kind of love, redemption/forgiveness/healing/growth and relatively serious topics in general. Comedy and action are all good if there's something deeper behind it. If not, boring. I usually dislike romance of any kind unless it's a slight and modest heterosexual romance on the side with the focus being on other meaningful relationships as well, then I'll like it.

I'd rather be transparent directly as I know how hot and sensitive the topic is here : I do not watch or support LGBTQ+/BL/GL content. I also do not support what I call the shipping culture and will not ship characters who are not actually romantically involved in the story. I don't watch C-dramas' censored adaptations of gay-romances-turned-platonic-brosismances either. Other than that, I can like any kind of stories, in theory. In practice, I have even stranger tastes.

If you don't hate me yet, feel free to talk.

I like to write reviews that are nothing more than long ramblings destined to get lost in limbo. To rate something, I try to consider a few different points : first the core (premise, themes/lessons/messages/potentially problematic content, overall writing/maturity/development, pacing, logic/inner realism, main characters, secondary characters, relationships, finale), then the packaging (acting, directing, OST). I then add to that my personal, biased preferences. Here's my rating system :

10 - CLOSE TO PERFECT, in all aforementioned aspects considered.
9,5 - SPECTACULAR, basically the same as 10 but some things here and there made me more uncomfortable or weren't to my tastes.
9 - EXCEPTIONAL, almost the same as 9,5 but there may be more minor issues or a few major ones, the limits between what is great and what is not are starting to meet but the good is still stronger.
8,5 - two possibilities : GREAT, although what I don't like is evening with what I like OR it may actually be a really BIASED LOVE, that I love like a 9 or 10 but has some big flaws that I just can't ignore and make me too uncomfortable to rate it higher.
8 - can go either way as well : COOL but has many important problems OR mostly DECENT but just not really to my tastes.
7,5 - DOUBT, can still be very good in some parts and I may have enjoyed it but too many flaws.
7 - BOREDOM, now the good/bad/enjoyment equilibrium is really not balanced enough for me any more.
6,5 - REGRET, I really gave it a chance but in the end it still sucked.
Lower than that - NOPE, if I didn't just drop it then I thought I would like it but I was really wrong (like for a really failed season 2 that totally ruined the previous good one *looking at you, UTS2*...).

Top 5 best :

+ Special mention for Signal because it was my first ever and I watched it with my partner so it's unique. It's also very good.

Some that really stuck with me regardless of their flaws :
