It's a happy ending for the important characters of course there are side characters that you will get to love along the way but unfortunately they will die
I finished it and I'm disappointed too much-repeated violence without any actual conclusion or lesson learned his friend became that way at the end yet he was transferred and yet again continued his fighting back violently it's like an endless circle of violence and bullying

Nian Qiao will know about his communism identity while he was injured so he will try protect and keep him safe then their bond will be much stronger because of his care for his best friend's health ,,he even will donate blood to him to the point of fainting his father is the male lead's teacher and mentor he will be their anchor and at the final episodes their friendship will be tested again when Nian Qiao get sick and nearly dying but the male lead his best friend will save him
They discovered who killed their mentor ,, she was the detective's love interest and she tried to kill him but his friend got to him at the last minute saved him of sorts not actual saving ,, it was disappointing really
Fans here and every time there is high profile drama can't and won't accept difference of taste if I said I liked the leads but didn't like the plot or the slow paced then it's a me problem I'm a lunatic to them how dare I have different opinion ,, it's the same every time
