From the trailer the beating scene of the male lead was more dramatic than it was in the actual episode ,, the emperor having fun watching the drama he created made it less melodramatic and more like a fake beating ,,, yes the female lead was very emotional and in pain but she's smart she would have caught the fact that the guards let her go to him and stopped the beating after she hugged him ,, but any way it was funny scene actually not sad
