It's an eastern country that mostly based on Buddhists ,, the family is everything to them ,, they can't legitimize gayness in their tv screens to their children and their youth ,,they want normal natural families as god created them that way ... that's the real reason as it should be other reasons are mainly because of crazy fans and the industry itself there are a lot of problems there don't need more fuel to the fire
This drama is so good the brotherly love between the two male leads is amazing I love their brotherhood so much and I love that it's not actual BL because it would have been turned from pure brotherly love into gay lust
I wanted to watch this drama at first just for the male lead and the humor but it didn't satisfy me on both ,, the male lead didn't have that strong character I was hoping for ,,he started a good officer for the king then became in love so hell to every rule just try to protect his love interest who is practically a criminal in his king's rules then she became all of the sudden a hero to the whole country Woah ??!!! What exactly is the logic the writer is following ??

Darren chen was great in sleuth of ming dynasty and yes he lacks some acting skills too ,, that doesn't mean I hate him or kang daniel I'm just irritated by his absence of any emotions in this particular drama
