Thank goodness I'm not the only one thinking that. And even though the paint is indeed nice...I mean, the costumes…
Duhhh, what tempted me to watch a teaser to the whole series just now... I was so blissfully ignorant about the rest of the plot and now I'll be DYING xD
I'm too old to act like this! But it's such a source of joy :>

No need to thank me, I haven't helped in any way ^^
Haha, I don't know if Gu Ting Ye is a 'proper' love material xD I don't know what it is, but despite how I've come to think of him as having a good heart, he still seems like a shady character to me. And that trickster 'wife' of his... I have this feeling that there are things between them that are still yet to be revealed. But maybe I'm just nitpicking here :>
Besides I can't help but keep in mind how much older the actors are than their characters and it makes such a mess in my head xD I also hope the storyline continues to drag me in with no regrets, so I could forget about this. I'm just particularily bad at suspending disbelief.
Actually, the way I think about it now is that perhaps it's even better that the relationship between the two main characters doesn't seem like the most obvious thing in the world - it adds to the suspense, even if just a little.

Haha, I have absolutely no clue regarding the rest of the plot, so sorry, I can't help you. Hang in there and don't worry too much :)
I suppose you're talking about Gu Ting Ye - I kept thinking of him a secondary character as well, which is the source of my confusion regarding "who the heck do you mean by the Main Lead"? ;)

Thank you for letting me know, I'm glad it started to work for you as well :) After a slow and rather confusing (at least to me) start all became to make more sense to me and I'm also enjoying it quite a lot. Grandma is amazing, but also the way MIng Lan herself is starting to open up and show the wit and courage I remember from before her mother died...She's finally living up to the expectations :) I had actually become interested in the show for the Feng's sake and I'm also glad his character is gaining depth. I consider him a talented actor and I would hate to see that wasted by a poorly written script. And I dig the visual side to it so much.

Tell you what, I'm on episode 11 and I'm enjoying it more and more. Perhaps it is slowly getting better paced, perhaps it just takes some getting used to or perhaps I'm just stubborn enough for it ;) Anyway, I'm warming up to the show.
Btw, how do you read from the poster that he's not getting her? I'm asking earnestly, because I'm really not very familiar with the rules in Chinese-drama world and I'm curious :)
Is this movie actually coming anytime ever, or is it just a somewhat annoying way to market the book? Which - the book, or rather the trilogy - is actually pretty good, so I don't regret being introduced to it through following Feng, but I was actually curious how they'd go about filming the VERY futuristic and in my opinion ambitious aspects of the story...
This is like watching paint dry...boring. I don’t like any of the characters except the female lead and the…
Thank goodness I'm not the only one thinking that. And even though the paint is indeed nice...I mean, the costumes are pleasant to look at, still...Some of the infantile household issues are unbearable, especially when you realize the actress punished by her father for a minor disruption is a grown, adult woman, something just begins to boil inside. Although I must admit, I might be particularily unskilled at following those family genealogies which makes things even more difficult to follow ^^"
Btw, I've just realised how foreign this drama world is to me. Everyone uses the description 'second male lead', while I don't even know who that refers to ;D
Sadly this will be the last Zhao Liying drama for a long time. And it seems like FSF is taking a break too. They…
I'm actually really happy to hear someone in showbusiness holds family values higher than money...hopefully. Let's also hope they both come back from the family-centred period with even better skills and insight and good movies and shows to play in :)
Still?? I don't know why, but I imgined it's supposed to start some two days from now... I guess I just really want to see if it's gonna be any good, so my imagination went wild. Thank you for those reminders!
Anyway, if one can trust teasers the tiniest bit, there's a chance the bumpy ride will also have pleasant moments :)

Very well said and I'm ashamed I have nothing clever to add. I'm just stupidly refreshing a site, waiting for a translated version of episode 17 :)

Once more, there's really nothing to thank for :)
