I actually enjoyed the episodes before flashback to seven years ago. It sort of looked mature and melancholic but as soon as the flashback started it wasn't for me. The first reason is the unbelievable talent of Ml like he's a university freshman but somehow he's just so talented that not only corporate work coders but also the University professor with PhD degree and well known in this field, could solved the virus he made. Excuse me isn't this too exaggerated 🫤 Idk why cdramas always want their ml to be exceptionally too well?!
Anyway the other thing is i couldn't feel an ounce of romance or affection between the leads. He was only rude to her, embarrassing her. Also there's a difference between teasing someone and embarrassing them. I love watching grumpy ml but this was too much for me!
I thought i might like this as i loved other hyped romance cdramas but no! I should've believe myself. Stopped this at 5th episode that to after gritting teeth for like 3 episodes 🤮 Spoilers below 👇
This was cringe but addicting! It was sort of a mindless watch. Although I agree that their current life (island master and mistress) was interesting. Adding the Xianxia element made it all over the place. The Fl was just the most common fl in cdramas (dumb, with a mouth and mind of 5 year old). Anyway if you need a drama in between other dramas or you're too busy to watch anything else, I would recommend this!
This is a masterpiece! Best Cdrama I've watched in a long time! I binge watch it in four days. Here're some things…
- ShenLi: in most cdramas the strong fl either ends up as a dumb character or completely emotionless. But Shenli was perfect! She was strong, capable, yet with a hint of vulnerable.
- Xingzhi: He was neither a complete simp nor he was totally rude and wooden log! Which's again really common in cdrama land! But Xingzhi loved ShenLi yet he had his own life and responsibilities.
- Chemistry: it was everything! I actually saw a yt short of shenli and Xingzhi fighting in immortal realm and just within that scene the chemistry was so palpable that I started this immediately!
- No dragging or misunderstanding: there were almost none misunderstanding! I mainly drops Xianxia dramas halfway because they get so dragged. But this was perfect!
- Goddess character: she was introduced halfway and I was afraid to see another evil, delusional 2fl but she ended up being my favourite character 😭 she was the best shipper of ml and fl and literally represented us all!
- Furong: he was annoying at first but his character development was 😍 i love these siblings!
- Mofang: okay I really pitied him until the end. He was also sorta fresh air from normal completely good or completely evil sml!
- comedic relief: this was perfect! Especially when the goddess, heavenly emperor and her holiness were trying to enter the extra natural heaven, I lost myself lol 😂
- Ending: in a world of open and sad endings, I strive for happy and fulfilling ending like this!! 😍
Why is this drama so good?! 😭 I only started watching it because of Lin Yi (a big fan here) but the fl is so pretty and the storyline is just so damn good! I love how there's no annoying characters without logic! Seriously the wait for each episode is killing me 😩
This is one of the best minidrama I've watched. It was fast paced, to the point, yet not too short. Literally loved all the characters! Plus the chemistry 😍😍

There is attraction and a lot at that. But no romance. Basically Ml is obsessed with fl first without love and then deeply in love. However fl is acting sort of a spy against ml so she try to attract ml but without love. You can also watch deleted scenes for more skinship (might be available separately on YT)

Idk about others but I'm loving this too much 😭 maybe I'm a big fan of reincarnation of lovers trope. Plus the way twists are coming. And I'm loving how ml is a bit damsel in distress than fl. Aghhh I can't wait for new episodes 😭😭
