His acting is decent. I think it’s more of how the script is written. The script is confusing. Not that his acting is confusing. His expression is more subtle. So you’ll think he looks the same. Also he plays the character really meek. I noticed that his eyes look down a lot when people are talking to him but when he’s talking to them he will make eye contacts. The characters in here is always making him think too and asking him to do weird stuff for them. I’d frown too. Lmao
I think Yuran is an ok actress, she’s not the best but at least her acting looks continuous. Xiao Zhou’s expression and acting is very disconnect. She also does not exude the beauty nor charm she’s supposedly have. And she has no chemistry with Liu Hao Ran.
I think so far Liu Hao Ran’s leading ladies are all very annoying. I usually always like them in the beginning and cheer for some romance then I end up couldn’t stand them. Mind you I’m a reasonable fan and like romance too but either they turn out aesthetically unpleasing to the eyes as the story goes or something.
He needs some cute and pretty actress who can act. Hao Ran still have to brush some part of his acting, it’s not perfect but the Princess needs major overhauls. She makes me lose the connection in many scenes! Yuran may be annoying but at least she’s an ok actress.
The story moving to the grasslands. Only 4 episodes left online platforms. Nothing has been accomplish for Azule nor Ji Ye so far in the previews. I hate how Chinese series secretly insert an unknown actors/actresses to the series and made them more important than the so call main characters!
That’s just my two cents. Lol but I still enjoy some part of the story. The battles in Qingyang looks intense and cinematography is amazing! Sometimes they care so much about cinematography, they lack a well written story.. Azule is fierce looking in Qingyang.

The subbing team probably doesn’t have the patience or is not enough romance for them or they lost interest. I’m still waiting for the sub. The team who subbed Nirvana in Fire 2 were so fast. They got two eps done within 4-5 hours after airing every day. Lol Wish the subbed was that fast.

Right. Let’s get the story back to Azule. Basically, this whole series Azule more of an observer than a participant. He was more engaging in the Tianqi line but this series is not good in the aspect that they spend 18 episode on Nanhuai doing nothing except getting the sword which took 16 episodes. Then they spend too much time with his memory loss. So now they have to cram everything! I’m so upset because they might have cut a lot of grassland part. I’m not a happy fan. How is that they’re going to cover Azule fighting for his throne and an epic battle with his grandfather in 6-7 episodes?!
Ok at least that’s some redeeming part but if he just ran away that’s a fucked up writer. Sorry for my language. But Azule no matter if he’s weak or noy his main core is to protect the people he loves/care. But since he ran away that’s still a bit eh to me lol
