have to admit I did tear up a bit at the last scene he seemed incredibly scared of losing her. on the other hand I found his explanation about why he treated her the way he did since they married very underwhelming! I've been waiting for that confession but now that he said it I either missed something due to the subtitles or that's just it 🤔. nothing justified his cruelty especially when they showed flashbacks of her trying to make the marriage work

I suppose acting tough eventually gets to you and then all your strength disappears in seconds as if never really existed! I know how important it is to tell the truth. I just felt that it wasn't the right time or place to say it. I felt as though ZiXiang was so angry at ShaoPeng for pushing him away that he blurted out the truth then and there without thinking... love can be so messy and unpredictable sometimes 🥺
