He was victimised by a group of bullies because he never stood up for himself and enabled others to take advantage and humiliate him. I'm not harshly judging Jin. I'm exposing Jin's character for what it truly is. Remember this is a drama and not real life. People can't control their feelings, but they should be able to control their behaviour/decisions. let's say, for the sake of the argument, that Jin recorded the video in a moment of rage. Even though the act of pulling out your phone and recording your "friend" in the most vulnerable position can never be a rash or a haste decision. but let's just accept that for a moment. Jin later on went home and meticulously uploaded the video online with a caption and then sat there literally shaking with rage contemplating whether or not to upload it online for the whole world to see!! That's not something Jin had done in a fit of rage, that's calculated to get back at his "friend" whom he's secretly in love with. Jin was getting back at Non because he turn out to be something other than the fantasy that he'd built in his teenage mind. And yes, we've all been teenagers and we've all made bad decisions, mistakes just like you called it. However, unfortunately, some of these mistakes are extremely worse than others. Some of these mistakes are deadly and have long lasting consequences on someone else's future. Do you really think you can atone for something as heinous as that?! If Non was alive somewhere did you really think he would've been able to show his face around the school or get into a descent university or even get a job when there's a video of him online in that position getting **** by his teacher?! Trust me, the writer knew exactly what he was doing. He'd written the sex scene between Non and Mr Keng and the precise moment when Jin catches them in the act! ok, I'm going to get extremely graphic here only because I have to Non was bent down on the sofa with his pants down and Keng was literally behind him getting busy! can you imagine a position more vulnerable than that?! because I can't! Jin being Non's "friend" who's secretly in "love" with him was supposed to either barge into the room to confront them or storm out in rage/betrayal call it what you want. Pulling out his phone to record the scene was an act of revenge! which he's not even entitled to because Non isn't his boyfriend! he's not even aware of those feelings! Now the writer is free to give Jin whatever ending he thinks is best but to me the character lost all credibility and later on became irredeemable the minute Jin sat infront of the investigators and denied Non's presence during the shooting of the movie of his whereabouts afterwards. I wouldn't call that "love" per se Sometimes we see something from a distance and we develop a fantasy but when we get close enough, 9 times outta 10 we wish we hadn't! this is what happened to Jin when he uncovered one of Non's secrets, that fantasy shattered and all that was left was resentment. but the thing that made Jin worse than the average person was that need for revenge when he recorded the video.

Let's say he truly had a crush on Non, to which Non was completely oblivious to, and let's say he felt shocked and betrayed (which he doesn't have the right to in the first place) when he saw him with Mr.Keng! why on earth would he grab his phone, record what he saw and then contemplate whether or not to post it online to shame and scandalise Non and the teacher. If he truly was a good person deep down somewhere, even after taking the video he could've confronted Non in private and told him that what he did was wrong and that he was shocked to discover it! What he did was vengeful, bitter and filled with hate. Personally, I can't imagine anything worse than filming your "friend" having sex with anyone and then post it online regardless of the circumstances surrounding that scandalous relationship.
