There are much better actors who can play all kinds if roles..whereas YJG seems to specialise in grim characters
Beyond evil actually showed his limitations as an actor..

Tale of Nokdu is a beautiful drama

Park bo gum, park seo joon, even L from Infinite...have more expressive faces

Try watching Awaken and other NGM dramas..it will ease the wait

He is one of the best actors in S korea..can effortlessly slip in and out of roles..
He is superb in Awaken also.

I think he is too overrated..

Its a bit difficult to like in initial eps..later on gets too good.

Feel a lot o what you say makes sense..However,i differ on the quality of Jdramas as i feel they make superb theme focused dramas..they have excellent variety too and i feel a lot of Kdrama and Taiwan drama writing borrows from Jdrama writing.(nowadays tho they borrow from Kdramas eg Signal etc)
They do suffer from low prod values and lack of romance

So,basically a list of J dramas with an occassional korean and Tw drama..Seems J dramas have a low fan base in MDL

Just started this as wa liking the crime mystery drama genre all over again post Devil Judge..
Am at ep 6 and good so far..Courtroom scenes are the best
