Bruh i just watched 4 eps and the male lead is so annoying,.. leaving behind the extremely bad cg, I am yet to find a likable character... like the ml never practices and just keeps on getting lucky either due to his birth and blood, or by getting treasures randomly, he has 0 merit of his own. Be it skill or personality, he is difficult to like as of now... ig watching MM before this didn't help at all

Everything was well and good, why tf did they have to ruin the end with a Blind Date? like she already has a bf, going on a blind date and that too without telling her bf feels pretty red flag to me.... If a guy did the same ya'll be calling him scum

I think i already saw her before in A Love so romantic, she was the second fl there tho... her character was a bit annoying there, but this series is actually opening my eyes to her acting range

It's soo annoying with how much they NERFED down Susu, she coud have been such an amazing character, but it just feels like she's only there to fill in the plot as needed

I'll be honest.. even of they had made each episode of one hour 30 mins like some k dramas i'd have loved it... idk why they brought up this rule, but it was soo not right. Though i do agree it was a better decision to air it all together than spit it into parts.. i would not have been able to wait that long after watching one part. I am still soo mad about the fate of some of Luo Yunxi's dramas.. he is a phenomenal actor and the staff and everybody associated with it did no deserve it.

I personally haven't read the novel.. but idk why it'd have something that'd require Chinese censorship.. i mean its definitely no a bl... and I'm pretty sure it probably has no elements that challenges the Chinese government.

I generally watch the youku version (better quality) and check it out sometimes on viki if there's a subtitle difficulty. I did noticed they are mostly same tho, i was secretly wishing there;d be a director's cut version somewhere. They seriously need to release it on viki or other online streaming platforms before their license expires tho...

Boy was I wrong... ep 14 boss battle totally made it worthwhile to power forward throuugh the dream arc..

What??? noooo why??? other dramas like this have 60 and above episodes thooo... what was the problem with this one????? Now this feels soo unfair, especially for such a good series. Please tell me they are releasing a director's cut version on streaming platforms.... cause some of the scenes feel so incomplete. Tantai Jin's ascend to the Jing kingdom throne felt soo rushed and I feel we skipped over soo many stuff and I'm just trying to fill up the in between scenarios in my mind.

Also why are there different versions?? I was watching ep 11 and the same scene was a bit different in Viki and Youku... now I'm confused which one to watch

For the rest of the show I can still understand a bit cause they are already suspicious of each other... and Ye Xiwu can't just walk up to TTJ and say "Heyyy, so you know... umm you're gonna become very very bad in the future so I gotta quickly kill u a bit now." They are more of enemies putting up a facade. The dream is a different case tho and I can't help but facepalm every-time I see them stupidly believing the third person. I think its gonna be a real struggle for me powering through the dream arc 😢

I don't know how to move past episode 13... the end had me literally screaming "COMMUNICATE... JUST COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER U FOOLS." Starting episode 14 has become a big challenge for me

That cleared up a lot... so MY-SJ and TTJ-LSS are not related to each other in any way... now I'd be watching them as different people and not as some past versions of themselves... maybe this dream arc will be something like MY and SJ giving a lesson to TTJ and LSS through their experiences...

I have soo many questions.... Whats the deal with the serpent-dragon thingy? Are they just living as a part of its dreams, re-enacting and roleplaying as the characters in its dream, or are they actually living their own past lives.. if the latter, then is Tantai Jin also the serpent? Then how can he be at both the places at the same time?? I crave explanations lol

The devil face talking to him in his mind can pass for Fairy godmother tho lol... in all regards tho... he really got on the wrong side... a certain Prince Xiwu gotta help him out.. that is if she can forget he murdered her whole family, and they can have some proper heart to heart communication. That boat schemes reveal scene just after the snowfight scene hit so hard....

So Tantai Jin is basically Cinderella who can talk to birds and animals and is abused and mistreated at home?

First episode done.. seems quite good... the acting's top notch and cgi is decent too... got decent amount of dark and thrill mixed with humor (i hope they do sprinkle a bit of humor every now and then.. will prevent it from being monotonous). The only ick i had were the jarring cuts sometimes.. like i felt the flow of the scenes was abruptly disturbed, or sudden jumping from one scene to another. This was mostly the case for the first half of the ep and i hope there won't be much of it throughout the series.

I am taking a loong time to watch these episodes... like i'll replay each moment 5-6 times trying to take in everything whereas for other series i'd watch at 1.3x speed... so ig its gonna be a loong journey.. and hopefully enjoyable.
