Well, finally it's over.

Honestly, I would have dropped it right after the first episode if it wasn't for the overwhelming number of 10/10 reviews.

I guess it is fine if you're there just for the face cards. That's genuinely the only good thing I can say about it, and unfortunately, that is just not enough for me.

First of all, Duang with You is PAINFULLY BORING. I don't understand why some of the episodes are over an hour long. I was able to get through them within 20-30 minutes, and I was still bored! I actually went into this wanting to like it, because I usually do enjoy dumb, cringey romance, but Duang with you is just straight up boring, annoying at best. The "humor" is cringe, and not the good kind. Yes, I did chuckle a few times, but that is far from enough. Even the romance is simply not exciting at all, except for a few moments at the beginning of their relatinship that did make me smile, but once again, that is far from enough.

Second of all, the characters are just horrible, especially the main leads. DUANG is genuinely one of the most annoying, borderline obnoxious characters I have ever seen. He's immature, has no sense of boundaries, but gets away with everything he does beacuse he's hot. I genuinely don't know where they were going with his character. He's obviously supposed to be likable, but I just can't find it. QINN, on the other hand, is just an asshole, and yet I felt for him every time he rolled his eyes at Duang. In the end, the only kinda enjoyable characters were the side characters, who managed to grow on me a little bit throughout the series.

And lastly, Duang with You is annoyingly shallow. Being shallow wouldn't necessarily be that big of a problem, especially in a series like this, but the thing is, they are constantly desperately trying to convince you that there is something super deep in this series. Maybe the writers actually believed it, or they thought persisting was a good strategy for some reason.

Overall, Duang with You is a bundle of everything I hate, and it's even worse beacuse it would have been so easy to turn this lazy script into something fun and enjoyable. Instead, watching it felt like a chore I had to do so I could write this review with clean conscience.
