That's very true. One thing I need to see is what happened to the true gods powers. Yuan Qi seems powerless now. He transferred his true god essense to A Yin when she was going through her last tribulation right? So we're waiting to see her debut most likely as a true god because of this. Just a theory.
It's an alright xianxia, not the top, but it's ok. Sometimes it can be a little goofy.

Just finished. What a wonderful cdrama, full of great colorful characters, very well written story, full of twists and turns. One of the more surprising cdramas of the year IMO. It deserves a much higher MDL rating than 8.1. I rated 9.5 because I felt it was excellent. I think MDL rating should be maybe 8.6 or 8.7.
Surprisingly good drama, funny, heartwarming, but very unique for a cdrama since it focuses on a farming family struggling to make ends meet. It has its share of "backstabbing" like in palace dramas, but in its own way since it's a poor farm family setting. It's not often you see this kinda drama out of china.
I have just over 10 episodes left, but it's getting very difficult to watch it because it is so much back-and-forth between the ML/FL, they are lovers one day and the next day they are enemies, and then again lovers but again enemies.... it just gets too much.
It's tagged as xianxia, also recommendations seem to show very xianxia based dramas. But I am unsure how much xianxia this drama is, seems to be more of a wuxia detective drama. Like, do they visit the heavenly realms, fight demons, reincarnate, go through tribulations, ascend, prevent the world from ending etc etc, or is it just investigation after investigation?
It's alright. Would have preferred fewer episodes but longer, e.g. 4x60 min. I think these extra short episodes, 10 min, make the editing hurried and clumsy and don't allow for fuller scenes. The transition between episodes is especially strange, like there's always something they skipped over.

Don't distress others with such claims. The news reports are very clear. If there is suspicion of foul play the police would find it. This is very sad, but we should not give up on reason.
This is so awful and sorrowing. It will reverberate throughout korean society that such a top actor was hounded to his death by social stigma.... which are considered minor things elsewhere.
