Not bad, had its moments, hilarious at times, but I was always skeptical from start, "How good can a drama about dogs be like?". I know certain types of people really love this, like those into "furry's".
Still watching the last minutes of the last episode, and it's a totally nonsense episode.
Luckily it's not 16 episodes.

I've watched enough xianxia's to know that nothing is ever impossible when it comes to resurrection :)

Hua Shu and Lan Feng should have gotten a happy ending, something like reincarnation in the mortal realm.

This is one of the most... crazy and/or stupid.... kdrama I've watched in a long time... but I still keep watching, ehe. I think some people were tricked into participating in this kdrama thinking it was a more standard joseon kdrama.
I can't decide if it's crazy or stupid, it's a mix of both probably. Some things are stupid, some things are crazy.

Is there a actress that is more highly rated than her? Eight dramas with higher than 8.5 rating. One with 9.1, three with 8.9.
I can't think of any. That makes her what? The best korean actress?

Yea, I just finished first episode and get the same vibe as you.
It's like they're just reading the lines but not acting, their characters are not captivating. Very flat.
The only one who I felt like is acting is the king, but he's a seasoned actor.
Very rushed first episode like they're too eager to get into it without building up much of a backstory of the characters except for the initial 10 minutes.

Sounds like a good drama to watch.

Watching it, and quite enjoying it. I have finished ep 22. Can't believe I have 17 episodes left, I feel like the story is almost over now. So I guess it's going to get dragged out now.

That's very true.
One thing I need to see is what happened to the true gods powers. Yuan Qi seems powerless now. He transferred his true god essense to A Yin when she was going through her last tribulation right? So we're waiting to see her debut most likely as a true god because of this. Just a theory.

Looking back at this drama, how many top actors are in it, one of the most star stuffed drama I've seen.

8 episodes left and I think the main villain is yet to make his entrance, which is common in xianxias, the main devil god is locked up somewhere until last few episodes. So I think the last 8 episodes will develop rapidly.

It's an alright xianxia, not the top, but it's ok. Sometimes it can be a little goofy.

Just finished. What a wonderful cdrama, full of great colorful characters, very well written story, full of twists and turns. One of the more surprising cdramas of the year IMO.
It deserves a much higher MDL rating than 8.1. I rated 9.5 because I felt it was excellent. I think MDL rating should be maybe 8.6 or 8.7.

Quickly became one of my favorite actresses after Ms. Cupid in Love with her cute and bubbly character. So easily likeable.

But I would have liked to see more romance between the ML and FL. So far it should not be in the genre Romance, but tagged as "slight romance".

Surprisingly good drama, funny, heartwarming, but very unique for a cdrama since it focuses on a farming family struggling to make ends meet. It has its share of "backstabbing" like in palace dramas, but in its own way since it's a poor farm family setting.
It's not often you see this kinda drama out of china.

I have just over 10 episodes left, but it's getting very difficult to watch it because it is so much back-and-forth between the ML/FL, they are lovers one day and the next day they are enemies, and then again lovers but again enemies.... it just gets too much.

Ah ok. It's just my personal preference, but I understand why the format exists.

It's tagged as xianxia, also recommendations seem to show very xianxia based dramas. But I am unsure how much xianxia this drama is, seems to be more of a wuxia detective drama. Like, do they visit the heavenly realms, fight demons, reincarnate, go through tribulations, ascend, prevent the world from ending etc etc, or is it just investigation after investigation?

It's alright.
Would have preferred fewer episodes but longer, e.g. 4x60 min. I think these extra short episodes, 10 min, make the editing hurried and clumsy and don't allow for fuller scenes. The transition between episodes is especially strange, like there's always something they skipped over.
