A fun, sweet watch with one big flaw
So, for the most part, I really enjoyed this vertical drama, but it also has me torn on whether it's one I could genuinely recommend.
The sets and costumes were simple, of course, but there was only one costume which was hilariously bad, and the charming characters and story made up for these flaws. It's such a sweet story about self-esteem, valuing people for the things that truly matter, and choosing the people who will treat you well.
Which makes it all the more disappointing that it starts with such fatshaming and terrible "jokes", and then has the female lead become thin before the romance plot can start. I wish we could have gotten the first FL actress all the way through - or if they won't, at least cut that awful plotline that contributed nothing of value.
That I rate this show so highly anyway is mostly because it is refreshingly free of contrived misunderstandings and jealousy drama; they are all adults and behaving as such - something that made this show very refreshing to watch.
