It's definitely better than what the ratings suggest. A really mature romance, somewhat toxic relationship. The leads are always devoted to each other in their own twisted way. I like not so perfect romances, so I might be biased but I really like this show. My only gripe was noble breakup trope.
I was putting this show because of the ratings, I have learned my lesson now. There has been a shift in how people rate on this site now. I usually do , MDL >8, IMDB >7, Viki >9 with some exceptions but MDL has been flaky lately, folks get too offended by something trivial on a show, review bomb and drop ratings for anything slightly non-mainstream rom-com.
What's the name of the actress who comes as the 4th Rank Fox of Kui in Episode 34? The one who is shown as writing a letter. The subs say the character name as Yeji but I couldn't find it in cast.
I braved through as much of it as I could but I dropped it at ep 26 which is all I could manage. My first impression…
I was in the same boat, I couldn't get into it till the 25th episode. I started reading all the comments on reddit and here, everyone suggested me to stick with it as the pay off is really good. I did and I am happy I finished this one. Episodes 27-54 are a perfect 10 for me, Ling Buyi's character starts developing and we get to see more sides of him. I really enjoyed the second part, maybe you will too. Try watching till the 30th episode, if you still can't connect with it then this is not for you.
I watched The Long Ballad after this and I didn't like it as much as like LLTG. Looks like people who like TLB doesn't like LLTG and vice versa.
