Joo Ha couldn't accept himself, which is why he was raging and trying to hide who he was with that aggression.…
he didn't seem to be LGTQ at all until the kiss happened, and that was him questioning. I understand the violence part, just don't understand how someone could fall in love with someone who constantly belittles you and hurts you. To me, that's toxic.
I understand and agree with your point to a certain extent. But now it's 2024 and BL dramas have expanded, become…
I understand, but it felt fine to me? Especially since the characters were both newer to relationships. I guess I'm more of a 'fluff' kisser (some series get way too much lol). I get your points too though, and understand that.
why is everyone asking about all these kisses... like seriously you guys have no idea how lucky you all are. Go watch Sotus and watch a whole show with two kisses! TWO! That was our BL when these shows were nothing. We didn't have a BL show to replace it next week or so! and a lot of times we don't even see lips touching back then; just angles. You guys out here critiquing kisses like it's the end of the world. seriously drop it. it makes me so mad.
~ Firstly, this is all my opinion!! Second, I know it's a lot but I have a lot to say ~
I understand a lot of people's perspectives, but I think this show shows the healthier side of relationships. It's a nice change of pace and honestly, just a light drama that's for the good feels.
Phum + Peem couple I thought was written well. Phum grew up with little knowledge of love due to his past. He started to understand caring for others with Peem's help. Yeah, it was a little slow, but I think it worked out because you can't simply fully love someone after one night. And Peem had to fully trust Phum again. I'm not sure how many people have had to go through this experience. It's uncomfortable at first. I think Phuwin acted great as Peem. The kissing seemed normal to me for a BL series (especially after hearing that Phuwin was sick for a few scenes). I'm not sure why people are so butt-hurt over it.
Q + Toey couple I think was the most dragged out. I love the scenes when Q found out about Toey being his past 'crush'. I'd be conflicted and confused too. Toey is younger and it shows. Q is more serious but I think it works out because he can protect Toey. But dang did they really have to have Q perform so much? And Q just seemed too much of a 'perfect character' to me. He's an art prodigy who also is great at music, and he naps all the time. Like he had little flaws and I think that's where I struggled a little.
Tan + Fang couple is seriously a show stealer. Like many, I think their dynamics fit so well. Fang is a lot like Phum; he grew up with little knowledge of love. He's used to being rough and closed off. It makes it so much better that they were rivals when they first knew each other. Tan can be a bit over the top, but I think it works because Fang shows that he is constantly worried over how Fang seems to be 'unlovable'. Tan knew how to talk to him, making every word stick. Their scenes were great. You can just feel their love through the screen. I really have no other complaints.
Chain + Pun couple was honestly cute. They seriously were the 'we're married, we just don't know it yet' vibe. I understand the complaints that we didn't need another BL couple, but I'll touch on that later. We honestly didn't get too much of them but I think their chemistry was good. They both obviously like each other, Pun just really didn't know he liked Chain that way. That's what I'm going with anyway unless he made Chain do the fake dating thing as a test to see if he liked Pun back? They were a small couple and they are great.
The whole 'too many gay people' thing annoys me. I'm not going to pull up 100% facts, but a lot of times, art students are in the LGBTQ+ community. And it's very possible to be friends with people who are in the community because you all understand each other. You don't know everyone's sexuality in the show. One person could be pansexual or bisexual. Just because they are dating a guy, doesn't mean they are gay. The dating circle in a friend group is a cliche in all Thai BL and shouldn't have been as much of a surprise. Yes, this doesn't normally happen in real life; that's because this story is FICTION. I think if you're looking for a light-hearted, no break-up drama, then this show is great.
this show was so good oh my gosh! it had everything I ever needed. Fluff, humor, and massive green flags. Seriously this show should be illegal for how good it was.
was it just me or did other people get the side couple? like how could Do Yoon like Joo Ha? He's constantly hurting you and your friend? And you still like him? Huh?? it wasn't romantic at all. It made me so mad
I shouldn't have wasted my time on this. it was just unnecessary back and forth. Yoo Jae was so frustrating. If you want a cutesy Korean bl I'd say skip this one.
so i’m really glad they’re finally in workshops and acting classes but according to mr ceo they haven’t…
maybe they had a script but didn't like where it was going? it happens. (especially if it isn't based off a book) As long as we have that promise that it'll be out and they are working on it. It's better then no updates at all and having the series just... fade away like most. Thanks for the update for the workshops! We can wait! We got this! :D Fighting!!
I watched the Japanese version before this came out. I'm split halfway with this series. They did a good job at compiling the JP version (and the story) into one season instead of a season and a movie follow-up. The only part I don't like is that they slowed Jinta and Min's relationship too much for me. On one end, they made Jinta not as much of a loud... weirdo, but to not have them be in an actual relationship at the end of the series was interesting.
I prefer the Japan version because the main couple seems to have better chemistry in my opinion.
Well, the first two episodes were better than I expected. While reading the comment I was afraid that it was a…
in all fairness, Mut is out in the sunlight a lot, so wouldn't he be tan? and the writer wouldn't get much sunlight so he'd be pale. I understand what you're saying, but for the series it makes sense. If they had the pale one be on the island it would not make any sense as a viewer.
