If "The glory" were done terribly, it would be this show

I thought this will be something like "The glory" where you're cheering for the protagonist to get their revenge, plus a little romance. No. I cheered for this to end sooner.

There are only two types of characters - spineless men and bad/evil ones, and neither had any character development.

The only person I cared about through the entire show was the grandma, and the only emotion I felt watching each episode was annoyance with everyone and everything.

Started off good with an interesting premise, but it is honestly not worth the watch.

I have no idea what I was supposed to be feeling...

...so I felt nothing.

There were very few good parts about this show, and they all involved Seo In Guk.

Most of the show, the "heroine" is dating imaginary men, so you don't really have anyone to cheer for. Plus, they all last for about 5 minutes and up to half an episode. The dating parts aren't even fun or watchable. It's just her showing different outfits and hairstyles, and the men being as cheesy as possible. So cheesy that even she hated it. The writer maybe thought it was going to be sort of a comic relief, but there was nothing comical about it and I just skipped through all of it as it had exactly ZERO percent affect on the story.

The second part of the show gets a little better, once we get to know Seo In Guk's thoughts because - Yay, finally a real person to cheer for.

I hated the acting of everyone here, even Gong Min Jeung who is usually really fun and often times a scene-stealer.

But the main character is just the worst, comparable to Dear X's female lead. The first thing we learn about her is she was working overtime so much that she left her boyfriend wait for her for hours at a restaurant on his birthday, and then makes it look like him breaking up with her was completely unnecessary and like he's the bad guy.
Whenever she does something wrong, it's someone else's fault, and it never changes throughout. At one point she gets on a bus to run away from a very polite Seo In Guk, and then blames him for not telling her the bus was going to Incheon.

All in all, I'm left baffled as to what the show was trying to tell, since there was barely any romance (with 'real life' people), no funny scenes (which are usually kept for second leads, but who even were second leads here?), no character development (or introduction even) and no lesson or theme conveyed.

All in all, I may be in the minority here, but do not recommend 3/10.

If you're into legal dramas - don't watch this.
If you're into romance dramas - don't watch this.

It is a sort of blend of the two, but neither here nor there.

The legal part is lacking, but it kept me engaged throughout and I really wanted to find out who the murdered was (although you kind of get the idea early on).

I've seen comments complaining about the leads' chemistry, but I thought given the setting and circumstances, both lead actors played their parts really well.

There was some repetitiveness in the dialogue. I feel like i've heard La-Ik saying "im sorry, i feel this is all because of me" at least 3 times to 3 different people.

The one thing I cannot forgive though, is the half-redemption they tried with La-Ik's mother. The woman did not care if he was sick, burned out, if she hasnt seen him in months, or if he was a murder suspect. Even went as far as basically testifying against him!
Her and the two sasaengs deserved some sort of retribution as well.

Overall a good drama to kill time, you would not feel like it was a waste and although there's ah-lot of crying, it ends on a cheerful note with a little added humour.

Best feel-good drama there is

This is one of those dramas where you press play, sit back and enjoy. Every minute of it.

It might feel slow at times, but the scenery, music and acting are so good that you do not want to miss anything. Chemistry between leads is palpable through the screen, and I especially enjoyed the little banters they had and the teasings.

May be an unpopular opinion but I enjoyed this one far more than Hidden love, and would recommend everyone to watch it, even if you are not a fan of C/Kdrama.

The only downside worth mentioning is the FL coming home every day and NOT saying hello to her cat first!

So how did you all manage to get back to your normal daily lives?

It is not just the good looking actors.
But they are good looking.

It's not just good acting.
But they were all really good.

It's not just the music.
But the OST is fantastic.

The scenery, the outfits, the sets, directing,... Everything has been woven together into one of the best dramas to come out in the last couple of years (and it's been quite a slump). This is coming from someone who has never been too big a fan of cdramas, mostly because they are too long for my attention span.

If there is one flaw I could name, it's that the background story gets explained a little too late in the show, so at times it got difficult to follow who is who, and who did what, if you haven't read the book before that. Not too big of a flaw though because the story itself flows pretty naturally, there aren't any time jumps, traveling back and forth etc.

Just sit back and enjoy. And after it's all done, watch it again.

Seriously though, how does one get away from nostalgia for a show you just finished a few hours ago and already miss?

A great kdrama comeback into the typical kdrama romance genre

I've seen so many comments saying this cured their kdrama slump and after watching the show, I can fully understand why.

It is an easy and enjoyable watch, with some cliches that do not disturb the overall watch, but with a lasting positive vibe.

All actors are great, chemistry good and, although there were parts I wish they did differently (leaving this empty not to spoil it for anyone), it is a drama you would not regret watching (like I regretted Dear X for example).

A short and easy watch

It's just 6 episodes long so the story is not dragged out. There was some comedy, some mystery, friendship...

Lee Soo Hyuk is his usual self. I enjoyed Arin in Alchemy of souls and she did a good job here as well.

Overall it was okay, just the ending a bit weird, but it didn't ruin the show for me.

One of the best dramas I've watched, but a drama I wouldn't recommend to anyone

You have probably seen and/or read everything there is about this drama, I am here to tell you to forget it all.

It took me a while to start watching "Twenty-five, twenty-one", but once started, I could not stop. Every possible emotion the characters portray is felt so strongly through the screen. You laugh out loud with them, cheer for them, cry with them and then cry some more. It's impossible to explain, but it is like you're living each moment with them in real life.
That may be why so many reviews are so "extreme".

The story is well though-out and told in a beautiful way. If you haven't listened to Jaurim before, this is your sign to give them a try. The OST fits great with the scenes, like it's another member of the main cast.
And the cast - I may be biased with Kim Tae-Ri, but all the actors showed a good performance.

There is no main story + side stories. You don't want to miss a single scene here.

And although I don't regret watching it, not even a second of it, I was so emotionally exhausted afterwards that it took a while for me to move on from the show. The reason may also be that I've finished it in a very short time, so my heart went through a lot in just a couple of days, but I'm looking forward to a time when I'll feel rested enough to watch it again.

A gem, an absolute gem of a show. 10/10

Dropped

Maybe I just wasn't into that mood at the time, but I couldn't bring myself to finish it even with skipping. I thought it was just me but seeing some other reviews I may not be the only one thinking that _something_ was missing.

All the actors are good, the intro music is great, the scenery and production is great. But the plot was too complicated for no reason and at one point you start to think there is going to be a lot of loose ends.
Everyone is working against everyone. Rarely you get the satisfaction of a good guy having the upper hand, but that lasts for about 5 minutes before he is crushed back to the ground.

I may give it another try some time, but for now the half I watched is just around 5-6 stars.
