The drunken / fireworks scene is sooo cute. They have good chemistry. Song Yi is so pretty, esp the close ups of her face.

I love this drama so much, it’s so refreshing to finally watch something where the FL isn’t a “not like other girls” trope and the ML isn’t the “general god of war every girl wants.” It has great chemistry and doesn’t overly rely on tropes to carry the cp.

She is doing a fantastic job. One of the very few actresses that don’t make me cringe while watching. She is a refined actress, and she’s not playing a cutesy go get em kind of gal, which most people are used to from idol costume dramas.

It goes to show just how subjective opinions are! I personally did not like TSY’s acting and found Sword and Brocade average at best. It was fine for what it was, but not exceptional in any way for me.

I think if you’re used to her from Luoyang you might think she’s rigid in this drama. She’s a lot more restrained in this character. I think she’s doing a fantastic job.

Finally got to start this and it did not disappoint! BJT is one of the actors I trust can act, but I am mostly here for Song Yi. I am someone who watches for the FL and am very picky about the way they act. She’s one of the few actresses I can stand because she plays a restrained and smart woman so well, she’s a refined actress that isn’t over the top anime-like or completely dead-faced/too concerned about looking pretty.. This drama is gorgeous with its cinematography too, and the chemistry is so good, I can’t wait to watch more. No wonder the leads are dating!

I cant take those people seriously. Song Yi has such a baby face, I don’t think she looks old at all. If anything I think BJT looks pretty mature for his age, I’ve always thought so, but it works for him. His acting is really good.

Song Yi is beautiful in costume dramas ~ I can't wait for this one!
