Title Ice Fantasy
Not sure how this one is going to turn out but if you like fantasy with a little bit of wuxia and romance, try Novoland: Castle in the Sky - also currently airing. The story is progressing well.
On Chinese Paladin Season 5 Jul 20, 2016
I didn't want the story to end but...what an ending! If there is Chinese Paladin 7 to continue on with Xiao Man and Long You's story after Xiao Man has grown up, that would be great!
On Bring It On, Ghost Jul 15, 2016
My version of the synopsis:
This drama is the adaptation of the manga of the same name. Park Bong Pal is young man attending University with the unique ability to see and fight ghosts. In desperation to save up enough money to cure his 'sight' problem, he advertised himself as an exorcist. He had had some success fighting 'weak' ghosts but avoided 'strong' ghosts because he usually get beaten up by them instead. Soon, he realised that limiting his market to just 'weak' ghosts will not help his financial problem at all but had no idea how to deal with 'strong' ghosts. One night, he received a message to exorcise a schoolgirl ghost with a generous offer. Excited that he would soon achieve his target savings from this bounty alone, he sets out to fight the schoolgirl ghost.....only to be defeated soundly by the ghost! During the skirmish, they accidentally kissed and the schoolgirl ghost (who was amnesiac) had flashbacks of her life. Later, Park Bong Pal realised that the schoolgirl ghost can help him to defeat 'strong' ghosts and together, they form an unlikely exorcist team - each with their own agenda but both slowly developing feelings for each other. How will this weird partnership end?

Title Noble Aspirations Spoiler
I am looking forward to watch this drama, love Zhao Li Ying. She is a good actress. With LYF should be great,…
It's said to be the chinese version of Romeo & Juliet. Yes, they do not end up together. She will give up her life for him. I am watching this, prepared with a box of tissue!

Yikes, the trailer took a deep dark turn towards the end .. And the actress barely turned 16? Raising questions…
Due to the actress' young age, there is no kissing on the lips scene. Just kiss on forehead. Very proper. Some might find this not romantic enough but I am watching this with very low expectations. So far, it's quite ok. The conversations are quirky funny.
On Chinese Paladin Season 5 Jun 14, 2016
Story progressing well. I'm up-to-date at Ep14 and so far so good. Elvis Han Dong Jun sure's been busy ever since his excellent performance in WuXin the Monster Killer. He has a few more dramas coming out after Chinese Paladin 5. :)

I will not be surprised if she is not. The ending implies it, does not mean it will happen. It's a tactic to keep the audience guessing and interested in the drama. Hopefully that 2nd season will happen.

That explains why the Mandarin pronunciation for the opening OST by Just is...well...let's just say it's obviously sung by a non-Mandarin native speaker.

Yes, that was the implication which probably explains why she suddenly acquired the ability to heal instantaneously. She's carrying his flesh and blood now. There are certainly 'loose ends' to the story that can be used for a Season 2 or Epilogue episodes. I'm just disappointed that they decided to play the open ending game to a drama that could be the next best hit.

Same here. Totally disappointed with the ending. I think this is another one of those stunts the Chinese like to pull to earn more $$$ from one successful drama. They do like to stretch it and milk as much as possible from the same cow! Not sure if Season 2 will be as nice as the original (if there is a Season 2) as proven by all the flopped spin-offs and 2nd seasons of popular Chinese dramas of the past.

I'm so lost, I was watching this on viki and I thought it was only up to 13 episodes aired today as they were…
VIP has access to episodes yet to air. Just follow the viki team as they are up to date with the official air dates and very efficient with the subbing.

My love for Asian drama & movies started decades ago with Chinese, HK & Taiwanese series. This followed with JDorama from the 1980s to early 2000s before Korean dramas became the trend of the day. Having watched dramas from pretty much all around Asia (Bollywood included!), at the end of the day....it is Chinese/Taiwanese/HK and Japanese dramas that are the best for me! In terms of story line and superb acting, they are the best! The Japanese especially, specializes in creativity. You can get anything from JDoramas -from serious to funny, from mysterious to downright 'Doh! That was plain stupid!', from love to hate, from enemies to families, time traveling, fighting monsters, anime and manga stories aka Live-Actions to just about anything you can think of!

Started this because of Zhao Yun and how his story fits into the Three Kingdoms series. A bit disappointed in…
I've actually dropped this. The story line is not as addictive. They are just trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. Zhao Yun was a great general and that's pretty much it. This drama is just trying to sensationalize his namesake but really, it's not interesting enough.

Yes, Lockheart, I am aware that this is just a spin-off and not based on actual history. Thank you for the elaboration though.

It's a good drama but not an AMAZING drama! I literally fast forwarded to the parts that matters. Although it deals with volunteer doctors and UN peacekeepers in troubled areas, it actually did not do justice to what these amazing ppl do. Why it's so popular is because of clever marketing. Most importantly, it is so widely hyped and advertised in mainland China (a BIG market of billions) that almost every mainland Chinese friends I spoke to actually asked me if I'd watched it while the drama was still airing! Usually, KDramas have a 6 months to 1 year lag in popularity in mainland China due to licensing (Chinese authorities are very particular about censorship) and proper subtitling or dubbing (the Chinese love their dubbed dramas). I was surprised when my mainland Chinese friends were actually watching this drama as it airs with proper subtitling etc all done! Likewise, this drama was aired simultaneously in main entertainment channels throughout southeast Asia. This created a big effect (because of the unified effort); making this drama more popular than one that is being rolled out by region. That said, I like Song Joong Ki as an actor ever since I saw him in Werewolf Boy. I reckon that's his best work to date. I am not a fan of the female actress though. Anyway, thanks to mainland Chinese viewers, this drama becomes a financial success. Another similar example of how a drama gained over-hyped popularity is "You Who Came From the Stars" - again, an okay only drama but blown out of proportion thanks to the mainland Chinese market. Now, do you guys understand why one by one all of your favourite Korean actors and actresses are collaborating with Chinese production companies now? China as a market is too big and tempting to pass. I predict that Joong Ki's next drama project will be a Chinese-Korean collab now that he becomes a household face in China.

Started this because of Zhao Yun and how his story fits into the Three Kingdoms series. A bit disappointed in the story so far (at episode 30 now). Zhao Yun's story is a bit flat so far; even the romance is not very interesting. I can't wait for Zhuge Liang to come into the story! He's my favourite Three Kingdoms' character! And Zhao Yun's his favourite general. I think the real story will only start once Zhao Yun join Liu Bei's army. Anything before that is just plain boring. Another popular scene will be how Zhao Yun single-handedly saved Liu Dou/ Ah Dou (Liu Bei's infant son) and obtained many injuries. Through this act, Zhao Yun impressed Liu Bei with his loyalty and became immortalised as one of his 5 tiger generals. I suppose I'd have to wait for the much later episodes for the story to pick up!
