I definetly understand Ju Kyung's urge to look better. I'm not a model but look pretty good, but I myself feel concious around my classmates cuz of how pretty they are (does not mean I try to change myself, it's just how I feel sometimes). The society has forced women to feel this way. Women around the world get shamed for their weight, skin, hair on body, not having glass-hour figure. I just hope she overcomes this, and comes in term with herself. When her mother said "no one will marry dumb and ugly" it reflects the context of the show, how many times we see handsome boys fall for average looking FL? Or in real life I have seen my friend being rejected cuz they don't meet the standard. Pretty sad in my opinion. I'm definetly Team Suho, cuz he has taken a liking in her for her personality not her face. I like how he cares for her with our without makeup. Looking forward to episode 4.

I'm not in middle school but I enjoyed it, not everything has to he pitch perfect and you giving example of BOF is kinda usless cuz that manga is extremely popular and people love every version it is made in either is be Taiwanese, Chinese, Japanese or korean or even Thai one coming out. By the trailers or teasers you can guess it would be over the top comedy. No need to age shame anyone who enjoys it.

Im Siwan is a phenomenal actor. It's a treat to watch him as for FL i watched her last time in "Bride of haebak" and she really wasn't that bad. I feel you'll enjoy this drama.
I'm more excited to see Jung Hae In in period drama. Not sure how much Jisoo ans Hae in will be compatiable, but I hope we see a good mature, devloping story from them.
I'm definetly more leaning towards Suho rn but tbh for this drama I'll not complicate myself in love triangle too much and just enjoy it as it is. Also can we talk about how cute Ju Kyung and Suho's Ramyeon scene was I was uwuing throughout.
