Celeb marriage news makes me feel all warm and fuzzy for some reasons lool esp the celebs I like a lot.

The u/eo and u/oo differences lies in what romanisation is being used. Both RR and McCune-Reischaeur uses eo and u instead of u and oo and they're the official romanisation systems. Anything else is just used for the sake of phonetics (even then ae being used instead of ye wouldn't make sense because phonetically her name isn't said with an ae sound). G and K on the other hand are the same consonants, Korean language doesn't distinguish between G and K.

Sun and Seon are used for the same vowel (어) so it's interchangeable whereas "ae" is has its own vowel letter (애) which is not the same as "ye" (예). I'm being a purist but as a Korean speaker mistakes like this kinda hits the right triggers lool

This movie's based on a manga that was serialised back in early 2000s. I'd recommend it, it's Shoujo manga but is soo much mature and deeper.

I remember reading the manga years ago. It was more Josei than Shouju, was well written. Deep and sad. The movie's not as good as the manga.

Ahh, I thought you meant they were interchangeable. Well, yes Hye would be more difficult than Hae for English speakers. But the site hasn't changed the "ye" vowel for any other names though, just some examples -> Han Hye Jin, Seo Ji Hye, Kim Hye Yoon, Yoon Eun Hye etc. etc. Even Shin Hye Sun's page's URL says Shin Hye Sun, but the description is spelt as Shin Hae Sun for some reason. It has to be a mistake esp since every other site uses her name as Hye.

It's very clear in Korean, it's 혜선 not 해선 and her name's written as Hye Sun everywhere except on this site. For some reason they decided to change it. Hae and Hye in Korean are not interchangeable syllable.

Why do people misspell her name's romanisation? It's Hye (혜). Hye and Hae (해) are said widely differently in Korean.

Incredible movie. Completely engrossing. And omg Hidetoshi Nishijima was incredible, no wonder he's racked up numerous Best Actor win for this from international film festivals. Well deserved Palme d'Or nomination. Almost a guaranteed nomination for Academy Awards too, AMPAS LOVE movies like this.

Well we can both agree that they're both shitty people and this drama romanticises toxicity.

She was nosy, that doesn't mean she should get bullied by the entire school hard that it was affecting her life and job. The ML was far more horrible than the FL. The show as a whole was basically making fun of topics like bullying and romanticising it.

I love both of them so this is bittersweet. 😭😭😭

Never believe tags before a drama airs. Like the drama hasn't even aired, how did they know it'd have a love triangle even.
