She hallucinates him throughout the show due to the trauma she experienced after his death. So the "kissing" scenes are when she's either having a flashback or hallucinating him. Her storyline is about acceptance, healing and moving on.
This was such a cheap shot at tragedy. Overusage of tragedy plot devices does not make something a good movie. Everything was so predictable and there were some bizarre plot holes around too.
