Ehhh... I don't know how I feel about this one, on one hand it had good cast, but on the other it had one of the cringiest plot-hole filled writing I've ever seen...

First thing I noticed all the divorce cases are way over the top with INSANE stories, and the drama kept getting more and more bland after episode 9, felt like the main plot was over and they were just padding to reach 16 episodes idk...

Anyways 8/10 for episode 1-9 and 5/10 for episode 10-16, I guess whole thing was around 7/10. 🤷‍♂️

YouTube just gave me a blast from the past by recommending this drama's 8 years old OST making me rewatch it... Algorithm, why you do this... :'(

It's simple, it has actors/actresses in school outfits, for an average kdrama watcher this is enough to 10/10 anything, for people looking for actual masterpieces at 9+ this is really disappointing. :/

Hello, I haven't even watched this drama and thanks to your review and seeing the weird kind of fans the show attracted in the comments I think I'll pass, what you said about swapping characters with other actors and people reaction wouldn't be the same really resonated with me... I've been seeing this more and more often in kdrama, so many shows get overrated just because they have idols dressed in school uniforms instead of actual the story or the acting being good...

Do they not understand if that all it takes to 10/10 any drama then the writers don't even have to try anymore? The quality of writing will only get worse and worse... sad

I looked them up in google image and while they look very similar they are not exact replica, maybe I haven't seen a certain image from some unique angle that make them look the same dunno...

I know people can look similar to their parents but I've never exact replica, I mean they could've at least given her different hair considering the generation gap of 28 years lol...

This was interesting but a bit stupid, for example no matter what sorceries happen a person can't look 100% clone of their parent lol, there were a few other plot holes but overall decent watch.
I don't think it deserves the 9.2/10 rating though, some people only need few good looking actors in school outfit to 10/10 anything...

I don't know how I feel about the sister going from hiding her power to flying around the gym building with her bf and somehow no one is noticing her, feels like we fell into some Looney Tunes level logic there...

This show was decent, but I understand the frustrated comments. I just finished binging it and I think it would have been extremely annoying to watch while ongoing, the amount of plot holes forces you to suspend significant amount of logic to enjoy, but if you're binging you can skim through the 'stupid' episodes. 😂

Carried by actors tbh, Jang Na Ra nailed the role as expected, also her teary eyes really carries any makjang dramas for me.

Overall 8/10 enjoyed watching all things considered, but the quality of writing in kdramas is worsening by the day, sad.

I don't think I spoiled anything, didn't specify how anything ended but fine..

I binged it today; I doubt I would have enjoyed it if I watched it ongoing... The mainplot was so bad; someone says they almost killed themselves because of a person doesn't just automatically end that person's career; the news articles feel way too exaggerated and unrealistic...

There is also the way Cho Yong Pil's dad's attitude was unbelievable; nobody would hold a grudge like that, but then again, this wouldn't be a drama if it was too realistic...

The main characters were interesting though; I wish they explored the other sister's relationships more or the friend's lives and struggles. 16 episodes is a lot; I feel like they wasted all of it on back and forth between main leads. Essentially, all we ended up with was just "romance" drama between the main leads. I guess this is fine, but I was hoping for more when I saw the number of tags.

P.S. Not saying it was bad, I gave it an 8/10. I'm just disappointed; it could've achieved more if it explored other characters in depth instead of just the two main leads.

I looked into it a bit and it seems like you're right, I was always under the impression directors are responsible for the main plot story but screenwriters write the scenes only, thanks for the correction...

However, I just can't believe Baek Mi Kyung 100% wrote this, the story is just so much worse in every aspect, I'm just gonna assume the director having last word changed a lot of her story, or maybe they just put her name up there with minimal work because she's popular and she also wrote the prequal Do Bong Soon? or maybe she just lost her marbles...

Don't get me wrong. I'm not Do Bong Soon super fan, but this kdrama is so bad... I feel like whoever wrote it has no sense of reality, for example when the fake Man Soon asked for fake ID she said she sold 2 watches for 150m won (that's around $112k)!! So what if she sold the clothes and the other stuff? she becomes a millionaire? why did she even act so homeless with that much money... she could buy the police off.. lol

I'm not even going to go into the other messed up things like Man-Soon child acting, it reminds me of Thirty But Seventeen but at least it made sense in that drama because FML was in a coma for 13 years, here she was only lost in Mongolia... Then there is also the fat shaming and the other stuff like how the men in the family are constantly being bullied, also the grandma's flirt affair... just ewwww...

Anyway sorry for the long ass comment, short version thanks for the correction, I still think this is pretty bad kdrama though.

Bong Soon was acting cute, or aegyo most of the time when flirting... Namsoon acts like a child 24/7 it's like her brain growth froze the moment she stepped in Mongolia.

It seems you confuse writer with screenwriter which is understandable.

For dramas and movies screenwriters don't write the story, they just write the scene the director asks for.

For example, director says "I want nam-soon to jump off plane and stops it with her bare hands", screenwriter will write how nam-soon kicks the door, and when she jumps and how she looks around, and where she holds the plane from.

This is just a random example off the top of my head from episode one, my point is I have nothing against screenwriter, it's director who made this mess of a story. But yeah I guess I agree, I can see this be aimed for children audience maybe.

I just finished episode 4, this is SO BADLY WRITTEN it's insane, and I'm not only comparing it to 'Do Bong Soon', k-drama in general. So cheaply written and cringe and everything keeps coincidentally falling in place, the whole plot is so uncreative it's insane, it's like it's written for some high-school project...
Netflix is so down bad, why bother paying for seasoned directors with creative minds when you can pay for some dork with 3 flops in his cv... disappointing.

Yeah gotta say I love all the action and beatdown, it feels like one of the rare kdramas where the bad guys get much deserved punishment, I hope it won't have open ending since it's called WHC1...

Only watched episode one and gotta say it did not 100% capture my attention so I decided to finish Weak Hero Class 1 first then get back to it. ^^

Haha I think it was sort of spoiler free, I read it without watching and do not feel spoiled, just some plot starter and characters introduction.

I'm sorry if this sounds like nitpicking, I don't want to sound mean but:

You saved yourself some no sense plot filled with holes by not watching the final 3 episodes. Jesus christ I feel like the script was written as a highschool project.
