Well fans tend to care about ratings so yk, the higher the rating, the better the chances newcomers will want to watch, but for older viewers, it indeed doesn't matter. I think problem is majority rely on ratings, rather then seeing it for themselves, which is questionable, but anyway. Yeah I cba with the ratings, as long as I enjoy a drama, I'll continue on my way. It'll rise eventually as we move along, not a train smash.

Yeah their rating system is one of the first I've ever seen like this, I don't follow things so indepth as I only observe the surface, but damn thats crazy. Well true, I think last year dramas fell to around 8.0~8.1 range, this year its noticeably lower.

Hey Tian, you should know I always stay up to date with my dramas 😆 yup, I love it, todays eps felt so melo and I loved it. Yup thnakfully it iQiyi, they always do 2 ep/day, but since its a tight schedule, 3 eps had to be implemented.

I don't recall episode ratings affecting the real one tbh, if it did, it'd be a small fraction, the final ratings a person gives matters the most. It'll rise eventually dont worry on it.

Well to appease the viewers on why the rating dropped like that, so here we go. MDL system works rather strangely; before a certain amount of users (~250 users) vote; its a "registered" rating, so after that certain amount of users passes, it usually drops into the 7s and then it registers itself onto the rating list, this happens to ALL dramas here, I've seen it happen a lot of times. This is not the final rating, so don't stress over it now, after a while if the drama appeases the viewers, it'll gradually go up.

you should! its a great satire and comedy to relax, just beware of the FLs prejudice, it was so bad that the FL was rebuked, even the director had to make things clear on whys shes like this, was a great message tho.

I hope it doubles in 2026 honestly, but we'll see as I'm gonna be slow with dramas now.

Day 28: My opinion is excalty the same as yours regarding this whole billing situation in filming; it's really so bad and I think China should really remove it cause the way the fans are so toxic just for their favs to be prioritised is insane; and I'm talking about the male actors, their fans are so harsh, I mean theres rumours circulating that Meng Ziyi and Wang Hedi will star in a major ip thats female centric, but WD must get first-billing and don't even talk about how his fans shamed her on weibo; it was so ugly, I felt so bad for her.

I'll try my best too as long as I don't get annoyed, you'd expect me to be used to it after a year of cdramas following this exact trope but it always gets to me 😭 Yeah I saw her with him in the trailer so I was like doube couple moment? yes I cheer, but now that you say shes linked to ZLYs character makes me afraid cuz I know shes one of the villains of the drama.
