I heard of the manga and thought it was absolutely bonkers and now I see there is a live action- ya bet your sweet ass I'm gonna watch it! X-D omg the Japanese... how can you not love them when they come up with stuff like this?!
What a let down this was The original gave us a story we had no idea how it would end. This just piggybacked off that and gave a crappy ending to a mediocre story. Didn't like any of the characters and had no sympathy for them, when that happens I can't fully back the drama; this can change if the story is good but not in this case -_- The one thing I can say is the cinematography is pretty... and that's pretty much it lol Seriously, just watch the original and don't waste your time on this (dramacool)
I don't get the low score. This drama felt so real and was so engrossing to me that I binged it in one sitting. This is that quintessential normal things happening to normal people drama that Japan really is the reigning ruler of producing. It reminded me of the movie Blue Valentine with Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams where we see a couple form and then deteriorate over time. If the only thing that gets you through a drama is romance or something else superficial- pass on this as the content matter will go over your head. I recommend this for the more mature and broad-minded. (netflix)
Movies I've seen about drugs tend to be action packed or have some interesting mind games going on with the drug guy and the police- this really had nothing. Like legit, this movie was boring. Wouldn't recommend this one. (netflix)
What a nice mixture of strange fuckery. I love that its shorts from the 3 countries I watch most of my dramas from. By all means, not a masterpiece but very enjoyable all the same. (plutotv)
Ok so this movie has a ton of sex in it... ANYWAY! You really get to see just how obsessed they become with one another. Like forget eating or cleaning up the room- I just want to be with you at all times. I actually teared up at the end cause it was like they knew it couldn't go on like this and so it ends tragically. If you're adult enough to look past the sex (unfortunately most mdl users are not) it's actually a decent movie. The clothing design is very bright unlike the story itself which is pretty bleak. Even if you're like me and haven't read the story (cause you don't know Chinese) you can clearly tell this is a low-key bl romance lol Anyway, the overall story was ok and the effects are cheesy as hell but I gotta say I enjoyed it. If it had a bigger budget then this would be A1. The ending left the impression that there could possibly be a 2nd season and if there is I would def watch. (dramacool)
