watched the 1st episode and the FL is insufferable. Having trauma does not give you an excuse to be entitled and treat others like garbage. She treats everyone as if she is above everything and everyone. People asking her something is apparently rude but her being absolutley sht to them is not. sure. I am suppsoed to root for her, really? no thanks.
Too many episodes and the ending was very boring. It started strong in the first few episodes, but ended up in…
I also felt the same about the FL/actress, she never convinced me that she was in love. the most she gave me was a bestie vibe. personally, eyes are the most important to convey emotions and I couldn't read much from hers.
she seems like a person who shouldn't have been a parent. She is so stuck on victimising herself she can't see…
honestly... I was expecting some kind of deep trauma with her. while the writer couldnt care less of a proper build up I believed there was some nasty memories with her, won and their father. and then we are shown that when she comes home her father is playing with her brother? how dare he? father should have been praising her (even though he hadnt seen her come home)? Like show us the proper discrimination... show us that his father acts coldly towards her, show us where he continously says won is the successor because he is a male etc. but we get nothing. it was only her extreme jealousy actually, nobody really ignored her (the drama has not showed us any scenes to think she was)
His mother abandoned him. Of course he would have hard feelings. He loved her and missed her desperately, but…
Oh I wished for more too! I wanted a bit more time for mother and son for they have been longing for each other for some 20 years. but I came to not expect much as the director does not seem to dwell on these types of scenes, we are quickly back to the romance plot without properly digesting the emotions. and this was one of my issues with this drama. if we are not going to be given a proper arch then why introduce it at all. a lot of these plot points were used as filler where they should have been properly set out through episodes at least the acting saves it.
this was a feel good 16 episode fluff with some ocasional conflict here and there. I liked it enough but it is not something I would rewatch. the characters are likeable enough and no toxicity (apart from the obvious antagonists). the cinemtography was eye catching and I loved the OST. But the over-the-top scenes... I personally don't enjoy them so it was pretty cringy. And tbh the story was week. if not for the actors I probably have dropped this long ago; they carried the show. I liked the dynamics in this drama; FL and the trio of friends that became 6 later. ML and his (tsundere) bromance with this only secretary *cough* friend *cough* the father son dynamic was also interesting as he was not really the villain (tho his parenting skills are very questionable, ahem). the 2nd couple was also sweet and I enjoyed their interactions. there's a lot that could have been explored better but I understand the writer is not experienced much. the amount of cliches makes more sense in that perpective. they are yet to grow confident in their craft. I also found the relationship unbalanced with ML doing the majority of the things and FL is basically taken care of (now I know people are not gonna like what I said here but oh well). there was very little the FL did for the ML during the 16 episodes. for example; - when she is distressed most of the time ML is there to support her, help her et. - when he is distressed, it is rare for her to be there and support him. majority of this is the fault of writing actually and I hope they improve in their next project. a lot of plotlines were introduced in the firts eps to not be explored again - and some only get a mention in later episodes. which was not so satisfying. some of the serious things were played out comedic or glossed over, and I suspect this was to keep the comedic feel of the overall drama. But this is a personal petpeeve of mine, so the writer gets another minus here. also this drama has a weird stance on divorce. exploring the way divorced women were outcast was interesting but then again we get the 'oh she didnt really marry, its just that her asshole of an ex registered it without her knowledge' info. which left me puzzled on what the writer was trying to say. also with daeul's husband, the way that played out was comedic while he has been shown to be not trustworthy in many aspects... why would she still stay with him baffles me. on the surface the drama looks progressive, but when you look deeper, not so much... in the year of 2023, is divorce such a tabu topic still in SK that writers representative of a divorced woman is not really married? However I liked the little commentaries here and there about working class, mobing and how much power people on top have over them. there is a potential. . TL/DR: a feel good fairytale rom-com with occasional realism thrown in. lovely OST, acting good, writing not so much.
Isn't it ironic? Gu Won's sister was desperate for her father's love and she's ignoring her son desperate for…
she seems like a person who shouldn't have been a parent. She is so stuck on victimising herself she can't see or care for anyone else, even her son. Poor kid was much more emotionally mature than her.

actually I found that part to be very real, very human. He has conflicting feelings for his mother. I can understand the broken heart, the resentment you would feel towards a parent even though they weren't entirely at fault as I also had a similar experience. You love them but you are also angry with them. you want to see them but you are also scared. you know someone else is to blame but you still blame them as well. Also, while in her presence he acts strong, as if she is a stranger or she doesn't have any effect on him. But we can see from his micro expressions it's quite the opposite, he seems to be holding it in. And once he leaves he breaks down, even if he tries to walk away he finds it hard to move.
