She didn't start watching cartoons till recently and there were no kids around her age to play with at home so she was always following adults and obviously picking things up.

NYZ and RRY's relationship is definitely not perfect especially with how they started out but he sure made her aware that he would not be just a baby making machine and by the time the official got together, the understood that there were feelings involved even though the whole baby issue was still on the table.
