My bad, i apologize i was writing about Choco but somehow i was thinking about Maki.
So my comment was about Kurosawa's wife. :)

People don't act like it's out of blue. In my opinion they liked Maki's story enough to notice it's lack in thai version. At least this is how i am seeing it.

Like i mentioned before i haven't start to watch Thai version, so maybe after i watch it i will think it is good choice to make her dead. Thank you for explanation :)

Your explanation makes sense. I know cheating is wrong, which i also wrote in my comment, but it led sort of to Maki's rebirth, but it's mature woman story so maybe not really that interesting.

I have a question and just to be clear I haven't watch thai version yet. My question is a bit controversial and is based on comments from this section but i will ask it anyway. So ...
Why people saying that adding "dead wife" plot is better option? I mean cheating is wrong obviously, but the whole story of Maki after cheating was fantastic addition to the story. As a victim of cheated husband she handled it great and she actually started to live again. I won't lie I was waiting for this part of the series especially for a moments about her relationship with younger man.
And another thing i wanted to add is that i know nothing about Thai culture, so maybe that kind of plot is inappropriated too.

The wife in japanese version was rather iconic, why they changed it. Was it important for the plot?

I am invested the most in Nao and Tiger story, like honestly i am waiting for their happy ending :)

I liked it, it has different vibe for sure. Thai version was more spicy, this one was more vanilla but still i enjoyed it.
