I really don't understand why there's so many revealing comments that are not marked as spoilers. If you talk about the plot in anyway you should remember not to spoil it for other people and to use the spoiler option.
I can't believe that somehow I missed this until now. Maybe because "Mr. Plankton" is a somewhat non-descript title--and I can't believe it was only 10 episodes. This drama is incredible in every way. The story is so unique, creative and realistic while being imaginative. It deserves awards in all aspects--the storyline, the directors, the actors, the music... It is so perfect that I'm going to watch it again right now. It is my newest favorite of all time, I can only hope for more just like this one. Well done!
I saw this drama quite a few years ago but I am re-watching because I liked it so much. Can anyone tell me who the child actor is that played Do g Yi in the first episode? Thank you.
I thought the main couple were adorable and very good actors. But the storyline got really weak after episode 12. I also think they could've done without the goofy gangsters. It really didn't add anything to the story. The last few episodes seemed slow and awkward and kind of jumbled together. I did think the music was very well done. So with all of that I ended up giving this an 8.0. It's worth watching at least the first 10 to 12 episodes.
This drama has been interesting and I like the actors, but I must say it is very slow and I find myself wishing that I could speed it up quite a bit. It got a little better in a few of the middle episodes but now it's pretty slow again. I like the characters but the plot is pretty predictable so I find myself struggling. The melancholy background music tends to lull me to a drowsy state also. I only have three episodes left and my curiosity of course makes me want to finish. I think I need a break now and I'll probably pick it up again sometime later. I think one of the other problems for me with this drama is that the actors always speak in very hushed tones most of the time and that gets very distracting. It has a very high rating but I feel that it is somewhat overrated even though the actors are very good. I've been wanting to watch the drama "Hidden Love" so I think I'll try that for now and see how it compares. Take care.
I watched all 40 episodes and looked forward to each with some anticipation. It wasn't a love story with strong romance but there was definitely a bit of a love connection with the princess. I love the aspect of intelligence and determination. I would probably watch this again although I wouldn't say that it's in my top favorites. It did seem like they left some clues at the end for a continuation and second season..
Interesting way to present a story with a surprise twist at the end. This drama starts out really good with an intriguing plot to figure out. It gets a little slow a few episodes past half-way and then picks up the last several episodes. I enjoyed watching, but not sure if I would rewatch. The actors were good but the music was a bit slow. I gave "Scent of Time" a rating of 8.5
Very good drama. A few holes that didn't quite make sense but not that extreme. It's probably worth watching again. I would rate it 8.7 but since there are no numbers available between 8.5 and 9.0, I rated it 9.0. I enjoyed the actors. I liked the side couple and the four generals who are always teasing each other.
YSY never does it for me. I always try to give him another chance because so many people “praise” his acting…
I thought he was perfect in his role in this drama. I saw him in another drama years ago which also became one of my favorites. He is very unique and an excellent actor in my opinion.
I don't know how I missed this when it came out. It is amazing that this drama is so underrated. I gave it a 10 out of 10 and it deserves every point. This drama is a must watch. Every episode was so good and every actor was excellent. Each episode was intriguing and kept me on the edge of my seat. It was too long to binge watch but too hard to stop in between episodes. I highly recommend "The Nokdu Flower" and I will put this in my favorites list. I think it is in the same category as"Mr. Sunshine"--another favorite drama of mine. Now i the challenge will be to find something new that will be as satisfying as this one.
PS I just want to mention that I always love watching Choi Moo Sung!
Can someone please explain to me why this drama is called Mr. sunshine? No matter how I look at this drama the male lead is not a "Mr. sunshine" type of person. That name makes me think of a happy-go-lucky person and that is not the gist of this drama at all.
Sooo underrated--i'll never understand. This is such a good drama even though it's harsh and some bullying scenes. But it tells it like it is and I keep coming back and watching it again and again when I met a loss for another good drama. The characters are really good. It's definitely worth watching. Try it and see for yourself, you might be surprised.
