Despite the low ratings by others, I really liked this one although I already predicted the ending by ep 4-5. Highly unlikely but i wish there was a s2 haha.
Currently watching episode 8 and I'm reminded again of how miscast Sjk is as Vincenzo. He looks like a wimp next to other leading men. In this case, KSH.
Cons - not enough scenes between the leads, can be draggy/slow, too many screen time given to the side plots (the ex bf/gf, the divorcing couple, lead's sister). In particular, I didn't like how the ex-bf remained a relevant character throughout the show. I understand the forgiveness part and being civil but come on...
Park Min Young is consistent in all 4 shows I've seen her. It's my first time watching the ML. I feel like his acting is limited but I don't wanna jump to conclusions based on 1 role. The lead couple is eye candy shame their story/scenes fell short.
Pros - almost none of those cliche romance scenes that make my eyes roll when done too much. The problems encountered by all couples/characters are true to life problems experienced by a lot of people.
The show lived up to its title "The Glory" coz that was GLORIOUS!!! i'm not giving it a10 but a 9.9 because I wanted to see some physical pain and torture to the main villain. lol.
agree with some of the comments. First 10 eps were good, ep11-15 were ok. Dropped after ep 18. To anyone looking to give this a try, go and do it! you might like it like most people. I'm just not one of them.
It's ok so far. It's not as bad as what a lot of people in Chinese review websites are saying but it's nothing buzzworthy as well (for now at least). I'm only at episode 12 so the story is only starting to build up. The mood is quite serious so there's none of those cutesy/cringe moments. I only watch 2-2.5 episodes per week so you could tell it's not that type of show where I can't wait to see the next episode. It's not the type of show I would binge on either but that might change as the story progresses.
To everyone waiting for english subs, be patient. I think it's better to have all episodes immediately with subs rather than wait each week for a new episode.
I studied Chinese for 9 years so modern dramas like this are a breeze to me.
