That’s a good way to describe it. Sometimes I don’t get what her character is trying to convey because her expressions are stiff. Luckily there are subtitles otherwise I would be lost
I’m in the minority group (I think) where I am not too impressed with Song Yi. Her FL character is great but there’s just something off about the acting. This is my first drama of hers so I’m sure I’ll get accustomed to her style as the drama continues.
Too bad, I tried to give this drama a chance so I watched almost halfway. Dropping it because of the bad screenwriting, and disappointing characters. I was looking forward to the FL because of the comments but I cannot get past her cringey lines and behavior. How can she even compare her teenage obsession with the ML to the doctor’s obsession for not being able to say goodbye to her husband? Ridiculous and spoken like a clueless teenager. Then with the ML’s most recent behavior - sorry, can’t deal with it anymore. There isn’t even any decent skinship or kissing as a saving grace. I’m giving this a 6 just for effort on the acting.
Watching this show and LBFD to get my xianxia fix. Both enjoyable shows with the FL being a flower spirit/fairy but the characters are very different. LBFD is lighter and more fluffy while IS is more complex and is not as predictable. There’s angst in LBFD but not as angsty as IS. Anyhow, I think they are both great dramas to watch!
