I get what you mean. I guess they could've made their romance a little fluffier, but still, I didn't mind it as it was, especially with Ding Yu Xi's lovestruck expressions.
However, I feel they still didn't totally miss the essence of the title, though I wondered why on earth that emperor guy was so hung up on breaking the leads apart when he could have employed some other means to 'kill 2 birds with 1 stone'.
I wish they could read the comments here...😉🤭
