I think this is getting mostly positive buzz because finally Domundi has done it after all the mediocre shows they made before. A lot of their series are just beautiful boys (having a lot of intimate.scenes) and follows the pattern of high school looking boss and an effeminate immature partner, th story always veering almost to omegaverse. This time its different, and it worked.
I think a lot of us are disappointed because we were overhyped. The actors dont deserve the bashing but it is also their fault for accepting the money and the role.

if you checkd the stat link, i think they only started reflecting the ratings today, sept 21st. So there must have been a lot of angry ratings from when the series was announced without even giving this series a chance. The OG series was so beloved i think they hated the fact that they are remaking this series so soon. But dont worry it will go up if the quality is consistent throughout the series.
nobody said they Ryan or Jane stayed single during the 5 year jump. Thats the beauty of it. They realized before the end of the show that their relationship will not work and cannot continue because they have to find themselves first. The good thing is, when they met again after 5 years, they are both single and in a much better place to be in a real relationship. What happened in the last 5 years was open to interpretation and a lot of things could have happened in between.
