I’m on episode 4 and finding it really hard to find even one good quality of the ML. Im not sure I can like him in future episodes unless he gets smacked around a little and has to grovel a lot

I agree. I don't see any romantic chemistry between any of the three couples and am at ep 7. At this point, I'm just watching to see how much more ridiculous the whole thing can get.
Is "Cutie Pie" good? Is anyone watching it and would recommend it?
It’s got a good production quality, visuals and OST but if you’re like me and need cohesive plot, good writing, good acting and characters whose motivations and actions you can understand then it might disappoint you like it did me.
I feel like I might have ignored a lot of the flaws of this show a couple of years ago, when all we got were mediocre BLs; but at a time when we’ve just got excellent shows like Bad Buddy, Not Me and Semantic Error, this show just falls short.
There were a lot of ways a trope like an arranged marriage could have been made entertaining without compromising the quality of the show. I understand that this is a rom-com and not meant to be taken seriously, but the plot and characters just aren't make sense to me.
I tried to like this one, and it does have good production quality and soundtracks, and okay acting from the leads, but the slow pacing and the weak storyline are just disappointing.
The dynamics between the two couples are too similar, and honestly, I'm just so tired of this whole domineering Alpha-type top persona that viewers are supposed to find charming. This whole parental guardianship relationship thing they have going on is creepy and unbalanced.
It seems like the show will try and redeem Lian in the next few episodes, but I don't think I can forgive him for being an asshole in the first four episodes (which was literally a few days ago the show's timeline).
Whatever reasons they justify his behavior with in the future, it doesn't change the fact that he was unnecessarily cruel earlier, and that's not how you treat someone you supposedly love.
For a show like this, the characters need to convince me that they are better together than separate. I need to be able to genuinely root for the couples to get together, but here I'm left feeling that all of them should just be single and work on their own happiness first.

Nope. Can't do it. Couldn't even get through half of Ep2. Such a high quality production with such a low quality…
I didn’t like the second episode either. I don’t feel like I can connect to any of the characters. I think the rest is going to be tropey and predictable. Gonna drop this one
