I hate this type of trope where leads break up young(esp when the other betrayed the other) and then reunite and get back together later on.. It annoys me s much but Im gonna try and watch this one.. And Im on ep 1, so when FL saw her mom and ML together.. I guess she wants to use this to her advantage, right? And this is the start of the betrayal.? Shes gonna use the ML how? Anyone spoil me? Before I go on
Somehow I understand the FL stance on relationships and career.. Shes a person who invests in relationships morw than her work.. And I dont get why she's being judged on why she would neglect her career and focus more on relationships.. Each to their own, not everyone ends up happy either in a successful career as welll, one can have a thriving career but still not happy.. So her being betrayed by her bf shouldnt be used against her likw that..
Am I the only one who likes Ye Ying's drama character? Shes so naive and cute.. She wears her heart on the sleeve and you might think shes evil but she just a kid I think this time Ye Lis stepmother raised her kids not so bad bcos even Ye Rong is not as annoying as in the novel
I have a wild theory about what happened in LiShan Mountain.. Yess they were massacred but some people survived but bcos they were guarded by soldiers and the mountain was sealed.. The plague or some virus broke out and they couldnt get herbs and food.. So some people ended up dying bcos there's a flashback where YeLi and her seniors are wearing covering cloths on their faces like they were stopping YeLi from going to some sort of quarantine.. Maybe some of her family or mother was in that quarantine and she regrets not being able to run fast enough bcos her seniors wouldnt have caught her.. And maybe her mother or family died there and thats why she runs everyday in the morning..
But this is just my theory! Im a novel reader and at this point i feel like this drama is a whole different drama, its just an adaptation in name only but im not complaining at all.. I loved the novel and I love the unpredictability of this drama as well.
Why do I feel like Mo Jingli and Ye Li have a history.. Besides being engaged tp each other.. In the Novel, Prince Li was not familiar with Ye Li, but in the drama the way he looks at her, and smiled when Ye Ying was talking about their childhood, and the preview at the end of Ep 7.. Makes me feel like they somehow had feelings for each other.. Or Prince Li had feelings for Ye Li?
Im so obsessed with Ci Sha and can he get more lead roles in future.. I want him to play a General, he would be so good in that role, his manly features yet soft smile kills me softly and Im here for it ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ is there any drama of him as a lead besides this one?
Am I the only one who hates that the ML is in the court.. If I watch this type of drama I despise it so much when it has court politics.. Our ML is always thinking about court and that annoys me so much.. Jianghu needs to be Jianghu and not mixed with anything else.. I hate investigative dramas so much, especially ones mixed with court politics
Riiight?! His character is giving corrupt minister vibes.. And Yanyun respects him so much and if he turns out to be another villain, my Yanyun is gonna be so heartbroken
The start of this drama reminds me a bit of The Glory featuring Chen Duling and Xin Yunlai
Its not the same in this case bcos they sent JinChao away bcos his father believed he will hinder his career, that's why JinChao hates his father so much.. But Rise Of Ning she was sent away by her grandmother to a villa bcos she feared her stepmother might harm her, and nooo The Double is whole different plot totally different.. Jiang Li wasnt sent to her grandmother she was sent to a bootcamp like place where she was abused
It was a scheme.. He intentionally angered the emperor so that he approves the reform in anger.. But he didnt…
When there was a flashback scene of them talking, he did utter that he would lay down his life for this reform.. But Im sure even Chen Yanyun didn't see this kind of sacrifice coming... But I think he saw the emperor was about to give in to abolishing the reform after those ministers were relentlessly pressuring the emperor so he acted on impulse i guess lol or he went there already aware that he will sacrifice himself
But this is just my theory! Im a novel reader and at this point i feel like this drama is a whole different drama, its just an adaptation in name only but im not complaining at all.. I loved the novel and I love the unpredictability of this drama as well.
I also don't like love triangles but I watch the dramas with love triangles.
