To be honest, I have to disagree with the first part. I am an adult man (3 years younger than Ikeda but still after my brain has been fully developed) and still get sometimes giddy like him. Sure, it might be "childish"; however, saying no adult would be this childish is just false. If you don't like people like that, then sure, but they exist; it is not just "bad writing". And for your porn comment, asexual/demisexual and people with really low sex drives exist. If you are not one, then great, I am neither, but I know many people who don't experience their sexuality the same way as I do, and many of them never thought about/watched porn.
