Gwen Hee is not perfect but for me - i like him best too myself - this is a show made in 10 days or a few weeks? I think he was asked to take the role or a overconfident dude with a big ego - well i feel his honestly (also mistake) to reveal his 3 choices of interest - made him someone i would rather choose to be with.
Older by 10 years - so what? I know many couples that have gone on to have great marriages with this age gap. Hen the guy or gal is older they have gone through more and they also come to a point they want to settle down and be careful on their selection - like GH - this choice is high chance his last before marriage - what a great choice HS is! Unlike the other gals - she looks like have the best education, grounded and a well rounded personality - good mom and wife material - someone who is calm, rational and do not fly off the handle like HJ - men all/mostly do not favour ladies that call them out what more in public and so fiercely.
Men generally love gorgeous ladies and no need so much intellect also acceptable lol but they do not like ladies that straight shooting tell them off - yes we cheer for such ladies that stand for their rights and all ... these ladies... tend to marry late or not at all...men loves women who always take care of their face and ego - but when they are to be told off - to be done in an non confrontational way...
I think GH and HS make a splendid couple together - i dunno whether i am delulu but i see both GH and GS looking most contented and glowing - they have the soft happy in love look in the Christmas party scenes cum interview haha
And GH's instagram post after the convo scene shot that GS had with Won Yik in Paradise in the car - she looked sad when she mentioned she did not know what GH was thinking ... GH posted in insta - I LOVE YOU JUST THE WAY YOU ARE - awwwww i think it is a message to HS
I think HS makes GH a better and calmer person - and he is careful and respectful when he is with HS - he cares for her, her feelings and thoughts
The man GH wants to get to know other people first because he is someone that is 36 and met so many people.. i dun blame him..
HS fell more for GH from the start then GH for HS but I think he has slowly seen more of her and compared her to others and find she is the sincere and truly best one of all - smart guy with big ego lol but his ego seems to diminish when with HS :)
Anyway i just wanted to put my 2 cents for GH and GS since so many feel GH is such a bad fellow - to me - he is not - i like how he is esp with GS and YT and Tik Tok videos of him as a basketball player and interacting with fans - really look like a decent fun fellow :)

I would say its because ZJY is a superb actress and has a very pleasent face from Lighter and princess and now…
I agree she is an amazing actress - loved her in Lighter and Princess too with Chen Fei Yu (man can this man kiss omg hwattttt) her chemistry with CFY even after drama in all the promo for the show was truly awesome too and CFY looked like the feelings were mutual :)
Johnny also seems to be natural in his role with her - she has that special presence that her leads love!
So far of all the dramas i have seen Johnny in, his chemistry with Zhang Jing Yi seems the best! He looks like he really likes her as a person and attracted to her strong regal yet feminine character. ZJY always come off as a lady with will of steel and integrity yet lovely - i love their match :) 7.8 ? common people at least an 8.0 !

actually watched for Zhang Wan Yi from Lost you forever... did not expect much but turned so heartwarming - love everyone in the family and the lady from LLTG awwww i was like where is this lady from so familiar until i came here and some of you made the mention - love their chemistry!!! so looking forward to every ep !
Jing Bo Ran and Tang Song Yun have incredible and natural chemistry with one another!
Their eyes and facial expression shines or emote so well to one another... to me no matter how good an actor or actress - to have such natural flowing emotions - cannot rule out real sihuan attraction or care/fondness for one another as a man and woman. They both truly like and respect one another... such a prize for us fans!
Story, Directing and Producing, Props and venie and all are so important but to me for this type of story - CHEMISTRY and real attraction to one another is key to the success of the drama! Ive seen TSY in other dramas and she is very good but in Road Home - she totally brought it home together with JBR! Ahhhhhhh such joy to watch them both!
Onwards so enjoying the drama!
